Why do you insist on screwing with a damn paper towel? If the point is too keep it moist then what the hell is wrong with moist soil? How is a paper towel better than what the plants going to be growing in? This is insane. You have a seed that might be rotting or sprouting so instead of putting it where it needs to be to grow you keep it out so you can look at it. Why waste whatever energy it has left growing nowhere in a paper towel. It's complete madness. :wall:

too many mistakes can be made in a soil so i prefer to do paper towel which i've done few times and i had no problem with it before. this is the first time and 2 out of 3 seeds sprouted, 2 of them is in the soil already doing just fine, i'm gonan throw the third one also in the soil tomorrow when i get a soil and a pot which i dont have right now :D

I started with the paper towel method before moving to direct sow, you have it backwards.

Too many mistakes can be made with a paper towel, no where near as forgiving as soil.

Healthy seeds under the right temps in moist soil and its almost impossible that they don't sprout, paper towel can tear roots and could rot if over saturated for too long.

I sow directly in my media. Seedling tap roots are too fragile to be moving around and planting IMO. Seems like an unnecessary step to me.
