I Just created my account and just need some help. I germinated a bunch of seeds and majority of them are now growing however there were 2 seeds that took longer to germinate. I just checked up on them and couldn’t help myself and dug out the seed a bit to find the root was not growing yet and took out the seed and squeezed it a bit too hard and the tap root splurged out more like a puss. As soon as that happened i got worried that i might have fucked up that plant and decided to put the seed back in the pot. Just wondering if anyone got some advice thanks.

Don't do that. Probably just did some damage. If plants are going to grow, they will grow. Leave em alone and let them do what they do.

Don't do that. This hobby will teach you patience. The plants don't need your help to grow, you just have to provide the right conditions for them.
When they're of age, you can train them, but you gotta let them get there. Nobody who grows from seed their whole life has a 100% germination rate, and that's okay.

Yeah first time growing and just got curious but now that i’ve done what i’ve done, starting to worry that i have completely fucked it. germinating a different seed now incase i have. Just gonna let them be and do their thing for now

That seed is no good it you squeezed it and goo came out like that said most probably rotten, better idea next time to start your seed in a glass of water try keep it at room temp for 24 hours to give it a good chance for germination or the paper towel method is a better one to go for 2 squares of kitchen roll wet it and put between 2 plates and leave somewhere dark and humid check daily to see progress ya see by planting directly in soil you have no idea what's going on below the surface and then your disturbing them by poking around, after it germinate in the paper towels leave till tap root is about 3-4 cm then into your pot easy peasy best of luck and never start just one seed better results to always start 2 or 3 even if only growing a single plant least you will have better odds if you get a bad seed or 2 best of luck

I presoaked all the seeds in water for at least a day a little bit longer and then put them all in paper towels and then put those paper towels in baggies thinking it would help increase the humidity. everything got germinated on a wednesday and all my healthy looking plants were planted on the following friday and they’ve turned out fine it’s just the 2 seeds that took longer to germinate. dug out the first one and think i’ve ruined it now but left the other one as i popped the one before. the 2 seeds that took longer didn’t have very long taproots infact they were probably too small to even think about planting them and they were planted on the tuesday after. but i was thinking that i wanted everything to be lined up perfectly with timing if that makes sense.

1. You're growing from seed. You can try to time everything exactly, but that's just not how mother nature works.
2. If you plant straight in your soil or a rooter cube and let nature do her thing, you are less likely to screw things up by being curious or mishandling stuff. Put it in dirt, keep it warm and moist, if it's gonna sprout, it will do so. If it hasn't popped up in a week, it probably pitch it and start another if needed. If conditions are good and seed stock is good, there should be zero issue having a sprout within 48-72 hours.

The seed may have gotten too much moisture. I like to let them stay afloat so they get water + oxygen at the same time. Last one I popped I just put a few drops of water in a plastic vial. It popped in about 10 hours.

It has to be a seedling to damp off.
Seeds planted too deep or in oversaturated soil, especially cool soil, can lead to seeds rotting.
Your seed rotted. It will not be growing.
Plant seeds a half inch deep and keep soil moist and warm but not too wet.
