1 1000 watt light will not burn down your house if you buy a quality hood, ballast and bulb.
It raises my bill about 1.50 per day and plugs right into a wall socket. Just keep all the wires and ballast off the ground.

Grab a 4x8 and 2x1000s or 3x600s and one big exhaust and one big intake fan. Should be able to do that under $1000.
Your 5lb yield would be more than doable in that space.

That room has 25 1000 watt lights or am i reading that wrong ?? How many amps for your house or apartmentthis room has 25 X 1000 watt lights. Never had a fire.
For a small room with 4 lights you'd probably need
1 ac 13,000btu+
A few 8" fans
1-2 12" intake/exhaust fans
Ac may be more or less necessary depending on how hot your intake air is.

It's a house, and yeah that room has 5 5x20' beds with 4 X 1000s over each row. It's a decent sized room. We had electrical service on the house done so we can run 50k watts in the room that has 25k watts in it. So with ac, fans, and all other misc electrical draw were still way under what we could throw in there, so not tripping on circuits blowing or anything. There are two other flowering rooms in that house plus a veg area and a clone area.

5-6 lbs would be pushing that space. No way I could see 10 lbs fitting in a 4x8. But 3-5 would be pretty reasonable to assume for yield in that space. Dialed in 4-6 with good shit a what I'd be aiming for.

You should be able to run a 4 light room with regular electrical service on a house/apartment. Our service was expensive. The backup generator was equally expensive. You're not going to need any of that for 2-4 lights.

Yes. I've run a 2 bedroom apt with a 6000 watt room and a 4000 watt room without making any adjustments a few years back. The 6000 watt room had 2 of the lights hooked up to the breakers in the living room but both bedrooms had at least 4K watts running in them.

if i was worried about my clones losing vigor, i guess i'd make some colloidal silver, spray a good healthy branch on one of my clones with it, and use the resulting pollen to get some feminized seeds, pick a few of the healthiest of the seedlings to be new mothers. keeps the strain alive and vigorous.

i hate to be the bearer of ill tidings, but no matter what kind of lights you buy, you can't buy experience. the first grow you try might be one of those magical everything falls into place things, but the odds are strongly against you. you gotta get a couple under your belt before you can start expecting even half of what you want in the setup you're describing. you need to find a hearty strain that produces well, and you can't kill with all the stuff you don't know yet. you gotta get all this gear you're talking about set up and running properly.
you gotta learn how to take clones, and when to take them so you can keep things cycling.
what nutrient system will you pick? what kind of media will you choose to grow in? what kind of benes are you going to use?
I'm not trying to discourage you, just trying to point out some of the things you need to consider.

This is all shit you should have taken into consideration before jumping in and thinking your gonna be the next big grower with $1000 investment. I have four grow closets 1 for veg, 1 for flower, 1 for males and 1 for mot her plants. I only grow for myself and family and just my flower room cost more then $1000. Like I said your gonna end up losing big money unless to pump the brakes and slow down
