LOL. Jeesh Interesting stuff in this thread.

I do believe it's a humidity thing too, but all of my seeds that I've collected over the years didn't die. I appreciate all the responses. Wish me luck with the remaining seeds. So far one tangie survived, but the Cotyledon leaves did some weird thing where one was upright, while the other leaf bent over, covering the next set of leaves. So far this season is proving a little difficult.

Another possibility is your seeding may have dampened off once planted. I run my seedlings in soil and this is a pretty common thing. The seeding is attacked by the bacteria and fungus and just withers and is gone. I know you are in jiffys but might be something to consider. Sprinkling a little cinnamon on the surface of the medium will stop the bad stuff from attacking the taproot
I appreciate it. Never heard of the cinnamon surface before..
