Lord Dangly Bits Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2008 #2 No way to tell, you have not shown a picture, or decribed what it looks like enough to make an educated guess. So I am going to say, It is a new Alien life form coming to take over the plantet. PHOTOS!!!!

Picasso345 Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2008 #4 I don't know what the white stem may be. I wouldn't worry about it though, the leaves look fine. You are correct to ease up on the watering.

O4aUsErNaMe Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2008 #6 it sounds like stem rot,but i cant tell without looking at your photo's(i am on dial up and those photo's in your grow journel are just to big) stem rot is caused by over watering, let them dry out a bit

MrFishy Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2008 #9 IMO, it's possible that the white stem has just broken ground and, is thus, temporarily blanched, kinda like celery.?
