Seedling help. Again.

I've been told this crinkled effect on my leaves is normal? I've never had it before so I'm somewhat dubious.

Anyway today I noticed some browning on the same leaves. Can anyone tell me what may be causing this?

These seedlings are 12 days old, OG Gelato, under a 100w cob led, in organic potting mix with perlite, and have not been fed as yet.

They just look unhappy to me!

Yep, I lightly mist spray the leaves once or twice a day, and i have watered the soil 3 times over the past 12 days... when it's slightly dried out
Why spray the leaves?? The medium looks dry to me maybe water a lot more! 3 times over the last 12 days is not good enough, just m 2 cents

Do not spray the leaves. You will create leafburn by the light getting stronger when it hits the droplings. Sort of like a magnifying glass. Just water normally around the stem going in a circle.

Because the humidity is low and the spray seems to increase it... the soil hasnt completely dried out even once. I check them daily. Icheck an inch down in the soil to make sure its wet...

You said 3 times in 12 days isnt good enough, but isnt the point with seedlings to keep the soil moist, not soaking wet?

Could that be what has caused the brown spotting on those tips? Sounds like I should stop spraying the leaves regardless.

Maybe my light is too close? It's a 100w led cob light, it's about 12" above the seedlings but its dimmed to 40%... i have a 450w led light which I'll switch to at around week 3.5 or 4, but obviously I dont need that much light at the moment...

Light is too close... Should be at around 20-24" for seedlings. I usually hang my 100w qb at 20" and 30% intensity for the first 2 weeks, then slowly bump it up to around 50% and so on

Ok thanks for the info.

Ill adjust the light height tomorrow morning and will ditch the misting bottle. Sounds like a combo of small mistakes has left my plants looking a bit worse for wear. Though I did the same things last grow and had no issues at all.

Hopefully with some little changes they will bounce back.

Thanks

Raise the light to 24in or even more.

My 2 Centavos .....

They are looking sad because some strains are little bitches when getting root bound. Some strains can grow in a solo all the way to harvest , some are sensitive shits. Also .... that plant is hungry , guarantee that small amount of medium it has spent its life in has begun to deplete.

Charge up some bigger containers with New prepared medium , transplant them like a plug , give a bit of water ( not too much ) you want roots to start to branch out to seek it .

You can introDuce a feed also maybe around 400 ppm.
