Hey guys this is my first grow and of course within the first couple days I'm having problems :???:

My leaves are turned down and don't have that vibrant green I thought they were supposed to have. I think I may have over watered them but I'm not too sure with this being my first grow.

My rock wool cubes are moist, except the bottom of them they're dry. Probably because the heating mat. These girls are 3 days old

No unfortunately that's just some rock wool pilling :/
And in pic 3 there seems to be some bubbling/blistering on the coytelodon. Maybe I'm over thinking it but it's my first grow and I can't really tell what needs to be done, need to get more familiar with the plant I guess

I'm going to be moving this cube to a DWC system (5-gal bucket) and the medium will be hydroton.
I had them both in a humidity dome with heating pad underneath. I was watering just by misting them with a water/Clonex mix
Room temp is 76f
Rh in room is 45%(why I used dome)

ill be honest with you on a first grow myself and not using dwc i should of thought with you using the cube im still wondering if its light exposure to roots but im really not familiar with the methods your using mate i just popped me seeds n got em in a bucket lol

I got rid of the dome, and switched one cube over to the DWC bucket with just plain ph balanced water. I was thinking about letting the cubes dry all the way out and then watering them once that happens. Sound like a good starting point?

yes you never want to have your roots exposed to the light and i think you hit the nail on the head with the bottoms drying faster from the heating mat, typically the block will dry from the top down and were you misting them with the lights on? that can burn spots onto the leaves and it looks like in pic #3 the little leaf was cupped to hold a drop of water so maybe you misted with them off but it couldn't absorb it all

I wouldn't let it go to the point of killing the plant. A dry cylce will not hurt it. As the cube dries the roots will grow in search of water.

I have a suggestion. I don't do hydro but my buddy got into it. He had never even grown in soil.

He had me help. I sprouted the seeds in soil. Once they got a set or two of leaves I would dig them up. Take something like a butcher knife and cut a square around the seedling. Carefully remove and start removing dirt. Rinse the roots off in the sink and then put in your net pots with hydroton.

I have no issue digging them up. It worked perfect. Be gentle and they will be fine.
