Seedling is turning yellow?

Its turning yellow because medium is a little hot for it. The cotyledon leaves that are coloring “ job “ is to supplement very basic nutes to it for early growth. Not all potting soil is the same ... some come in salt heavy and are ratio different in elements for cannabis. Hence the rough start.
I'm using ecoscraps natural+organic potting mix.

Ecoscraps organic potting mix contains a blend of processed pine bark or wood chips, environmentally friendly coconut-coir, perlite, and compost made from yard trimmings and food scraps. It has no NPK numbers on it to reference. If it has no numbers on it its just compost with no fertilizer. That is why it is burning.

IMO trash that mix , transplant into a medium better suited for it. Kelloggs / Fox Farm / Happy Frog / Dr. Earth / Black Magic / EB Stone / Light Warrior all are suitable mixes . There is a reason ecoscraps is cheap ... its a mishmash of scraps literally. Heavy ammended mixes with wood / bark can often rob nitrogen from availability as it decomposes which now has you looking to supplement with fertilizer that you assumed was already in it. Nitrogen deficiency yellow is the symptom you see.

Thank you! That answers my questions perfectly. Can I find any of these soils in store? Shopping times are excessive lately.

Looks to me like its going to be acidic. Has no Lime or source of PH adjustment. Peat Moss has a PH od 4.5

Id look for some Promix BX, or HP I like BX.

These are the only 2 I see with anything close to the ones suggested that I can get today.... I will order something from the suggested list but it will take weeks so in the meantime...which one would help with the nitrogen deficiency

I think both would need a food supplement.

Promix BX/HP uses Calcitic, and Dolomitic Lime. Calcitic contains 50% Calcium, and Dolomite is higher on Magnesium.

Calcitic raises PH Faster, and Dolomite breaks down slower. They work together.

Im pretty sure they are supplied 2 Parts Calcitic Lime x 1 Part Dolomitic Lime

Promix BX/HP has No Food. Only Calcium, and Magnesium.

Shipping* I mean and I found one that I could pick up today that has worm castings...would that work for now? Black Gold potting soil
Are there any nurseries open around you ?
you can look there for options too. Ace hardware has an interesting soil blend called mother’s groundswell that has good ingredients like most on list i put up. I just never ran it to give you an opinion.
Good place to start is to compare ingredients listed from the list against what you looking at. Guano , feather meal , earth worm , ph buffers , etc.

Black Gold lists “ organic fertilizer “ but really that doesn’t tell you much , some growers have run it but i always like to know whats in the medium in case i may have to supplement something not listed.

This should help .... the following are ingredients in a few choices i listed ... some have lots of amendments , some are charged with MYCO ( microbes) .

FFOF ( ocean forest )

Yes I'm in the US . No garden centers/nurseries are open around me...

Ace hardware was the place I planned on stopping by today to find a suitable soil since theyre open.

Thank you so much for the information. I will try to find something that comes as close to those as possible until I'm able to get something shipped to me.

I think Ace can order Promix BX, or may have it on hand. I know they can order it in my neck of the woods. Have it there in a couple days.
