seedling need advice

Alright so my plant surfaced about 2 ago and is now about an inch tall. Is it considered to be in veg stage now? And will it be safe to use nutes in two weeks then switch to flowering?
Also the plant is under 400w mh light (more plants will be under soon) so how far away should the light be? It's somewhere between 1 1/2 to 2 feet now

i dont give nutes till the 4th week of veg and its small at 350-400 ppm till i have it dialed in to a good dosage

th elight should not feel hot to your hand if you place you hand on top of the closest bud.

All you said was your plant surfaced 2 ago. 2 days ago or 2 weeks ago? If your plant has a couple nodes and its been 2 or 3 weeks you can use like 1/4 strength nutrients, nothing to drastic or else youll get nute burns. And if theres not too much heat coming from the MH bulb, you can put it about a foot. But whatever your comfortable with, i dont like keeping my plants too close. And i'd switch it to flowering after its about 6-8 inches, but it all depends how big you want them to be in the end(they grow 2 to 3 times their size).

although this is for HPS the MH is pretty much the same. 400 watts 13-14 inches away. Yeah start feeding in a week or so and flower when they get a little over a foot tall.

when a seed breaks the surface it enters what is called the seedling stage. The end of seedling is determined by nodes, I *think* 3rd or 4th true node, but don't quote me on that

sounds like you're in seedling, it is usually longer than 2 days

This is confusing half say seedling stage and half say veg. Is there even a difference like does it matter can i still move into flower in about two or three weeks?

nope, your in charge any time is OK some start flowering from day one for really stretchy Sativas.
