Seedling not growing. Please help!

So I got a free seed called Sugar Mango Ryder when I got my Royal Dwarfs, I germinated the Sugar Mango about 9-10 days ago. I used the cup method and put the seed it. She was in the cup for roughly 2-3 days. She sprouted and I moved it into a wet paper towel. A day or 2 later I moved her into a pot. It's been about 5 days now since shes been in the pot and shes only grown a tiny bit. Her stem was very fragile so I put soil around the stem to keep it strong.

Am I just impatient or has my grow been unsuccessful?

I am a 1st time grower BTW.

Thanks!SDC10084.jpgSDC10085.jpgSDC10086.jpg

Needs more light, less water, and it's going to have a slow start (if it's still alive) because of the fact that you sort of germinated for too long. I don't even like to use the cup method but I do know that it is the proper way to do it for a lot of good reasons.

But it should go from cup to paper towel not more than 24 hours later. The germination period total shouldn't really take more than 2-3 days. I usually stick in a towel, and then 2 days later plant it into a small pot 1/4 of an inch deep. So I think that the germination process you used may have drowned the seedling and so it may have a very slow start and be weak throughout its life.

I think they are out of energy because the tap root got too long before planting ,as soon as it cracked it should have been put straight in the pot. They are dead bro, start again and this time just put them straight into individual pots with a mild mix with perlite ,no paper towels or cups. Being warm at night they will sprout within a week with no double handling and lack of energy.

I thought I germinated for too long. Well i'll try and help her the best I can and leave her for another week. If no progress has been made then i'll just germinate another seed.

Thanks for the help

Get another one started now in the towel. It's most likely dead. And it'll take another 2-3 days from towel to container, meaning you'll be annoyed if you find out that old seedling is definitely dead and you have to wait out another half week! Just speaking from experience. I lost my first 4 seeds and kept doing it one at a time until I realized a whole damn month had gone by an still I was at square one.
