ok 12 days into growing and my seed has broke the surface and has a decent length stem but very very small leaves...im curious as to if the seed cap is suppose to fall off or does it stay on there. should i remove it?

yeah, it seems like people pick at their plants too much when it comes to things like this. One thing that we need to remember is that the plant actually DOES have the ability to do some things on its own. I feel like a lot of people forget that at times. i know ive done it. just let it be, it'll come off on its own when its ready

It's like how some people germinate their seeds in paper towels, or think that they need to start ripping fan leaves off during flower, or frequently refer to their plants as 'babies'; which they're not. Cannabis is quite the biologically advanced plant species, resulting from tens of millions of years evolution, and it is entirely self-sufficient.

It doesn't need us outdoors, and it should barely needs us to fuss with it indoors especially seedlings.

cannabis is not entirely self sufficient when grown indoors.the plants need our help to remain healthy and strong.
and theres nothing wrong with germinating using paper towels.if often speeds up the process.

some ppl do remove the seeds casing, but in most cases their is no need.
