Seedling Problems

Hey everyone im new to this site plus growing. let me start of by thanking everyone in advance for there help. I have two plants that i am currently growing for about a week.Every thing was fine until i spotted the stem wilting,drying but the plant looked ok. A couple days later i noticed a leaf started turning brown.It never gets hotter than 85degrees so im not sure what the problem is. I buried the wilting part hoping it would heal but i am open for advice.Also i was wondering how long does it take for the plant to grow its second pair of leafs(or true leafs)The ones that you can tell its a marijuana plant. Thank you

Looks like they are getting too many nutrents.

I use one drop of superthrive in RO water when they are that young.

thanks foor the response i was starting to think no on would answer. I havent fed them any nutes. I am using Miracle Grow moisture control and i believe the soil feeds the plants for 90days that could be the prob. should i switch the soil or what.

Anyways, moving along...
Since they are still pretty wet, u may as well flush them. Run water thru there until it starts coming out the bottom, then run 3 times the amount of water thru as the size of the pot.
If u have a 1 gallon pot u will run 3 galloins of water thru, etc...
Then u will want to let them dry out big time!
With that soil everytime u water, it breaks up the nutes and feeds them to the plant. If u over water u give your plant a double dose of death. The roots cant breath and ur burning them at the same time.
EDIT
After they dry out, u will need to tune your waters PH so get some litmus strip PH testers from your local petshop

that same thing happened to my sprouts....the stem, the leaves,......turned out to be stem rot and they just died.....

Thx for the info i was wondering if it was weed to because it didnt have the leaves that makes it stand out as a marijuana plant. I got some seeds from my friend he said they were dank. But anyway ill give your idea a shot and let you know the results thanks again.

update the plant is looking worse but i still have hope.

for a seeding plant 85F is way too hot. your burning the the little guy up.
seedling plants should never get over 80 tops. and thats for a healthy one, keep at 72-78 if possible. or run a small florrecent light on it till two weeks old. need air moviing around some . then do not touch it at all. they are super sensative to touch . will die with little effort.:cry::spew:

o wow i didnt know that thanks. so the cooler the grow room the quicker and healthier the grow i think i got it. keep the tips coming guys. ill make sure to use it. one more question after the seeds germinate how much wattage of lights should i put on the plant when it comes out he ground. im using cfl's btw.

you only really need one 26 watt 6500k bulb... you need drainage man your getting root rot from no drainage and watering way too often! with that moister control it is hard to tell when it need water i would suggest getting some mirical organic and mixing in 1/4 of perlite in with it.

no probs, a light dusting of trichoderma onto the soil you transplant your seedlings into can help stop things like this happening, trichoderma is a beneficial fungi that when dusted onto your soil it colonises the soil and your plant working in harmony with your plant and gives it a life long protection against pathogens. in that link under miscellaneous fungi you see fusarium? thats sweeping across the uk growing scene right now, everyones grows are in quarantine, nobodies taking clones from anyone.. lol

and whatever you do dont use soil from the same bag for your next try, or chances are itl happen again, get some good quality pre-fert organic soil, the best you can afford, there will be enough feed in the soil for at least the first 3-4 weeks growth in a 1ltr pot then when that pots rooted out and you got roots showing out the drainage holes transplant into into your final pot bigger the better with fresh soil, this will feed your plant again for around three to four weeks until your ready to flower and start feeding.
