Seedling Problems

Hi Guys,

I'm doing my first grow and I'm having problems with some of my seedlings. Some of them have started turning up at the ends and turning a yellow/whitey colour.

Growing them in Root!t rooting sponges until they have enough roots to be moved into rockwool cubes.

I've only given them ph 5.8-6ish water so far as they only sprouted 10 days ago.

One thing I've noticed is the temperature at the plant level is too hot, it can go up to 32 degrees under the light some times. I'm growing under a 250 watt cfl for now.

Any idea what could be the problem?

Cheers

Keep the light further away from the seedling. But at this time, it looks like your seedlings are fucked.

They might come back if you take better care of it.

Thanks for the reply man. Only 1 of the seedlings looks like that but another one is heading that way. Do you think it is caused by the light being too close?

have you put it outside at all by chance?
Nah it's been indoors the whole time. I've had the light about 6 inches away, i'll move it to around 10-12 inches and hopefully that will help. I've seen a lot of people saying that you can have the CFL lights pretty much as close as you want though as they don't emit much heat?
