Thanks, I seriously thought about doing it this way too after hearing people talk about accidentally knocking off the tap root during transfer, but I liked the idea of knowing the seed was at least viable.Always my opinion to just go straight to the dirt, no water, paper towels or anything like that, always worked for me!
Thanks, yeah they went into a seedling tray with soil yesterday.Right at that stage is the perfect time. All I use water for is to make the seeds split open just like that.
I wouldn't let them sit in water any longer as that tap root will get longer and longer and get more and more difficult to deal with planting properly.
Thanks! As for the lights I would use the CFLs until you get a set or two of true leaves
Thanks!
I know I'm going to catch hell for it - but - I went with the expensive TLO premixed soil. I got the starter kit with the teas and an extra bag of his soil mix. I had also read the book - yet I still have a lot of questions. Thank you for the thread and light advice!Once the roots will hold the soil then transplant and bury those stems. I've never used little trays like that. I'd get the lights closer too. Good on you for going organic. What kind of soil are you going to use? Here's a good thread, lots of smart dudes and very helpful. https://www.rollitup.org/t/recycled-organic-living-soil-rols-and-no-till-thread.636057/
Thank you - I moved the lights real close and overnight I noticed the real leaves have fattened up. I have that 1000w induction ready to crank up, should I hit it with that light up high yet?I would move the cfl's and put them right above the plants - like 2 inch's above them and put as much soil you can around those stems. They look really long.Like the plant is reaching for the light.
Also use a turkey baster to water them.like 10 drops of water.Just keep the soil moist not wet.Repot them as soon as you can and put more soil around the stems.good luck with your grow.hopefully you'll get some 3 once nugs.lol
Thanks for the links, and the advice!I've been using the rev's flower tea and have had some issues. Now I'm not blaming the tea entirely. I take responsibility for overdoing it with the teas. It seems to be affecting one strain more than another but it's a mess. Seems like K def. but could also be me messing up the microbe's with too much of that certain tea. If you use his flowering tea recipe down the line you might just go ahead and add all the ingredients and bubble for 36 hours. Just a safeguard against a bacterial dominate tea. Here's the thread that has taught me everything I know. It's a great bunch of guys and has become our social home too. There's some big brains on there and they love to help out. https://www.rollitup.org/t/total-noob-using-teas-and-i-am-a-believer.676040/
