Seedling tap root.

I've read x amount of times that you should pot up when the tap root reaches the bottom. I have 1 week old seedlings whose tap roots have reached the bottom of 5 ltr pots.

Now there is no way that a 1 week old seedling in a 5 ltr pot needs to be potted up, so, is the whole pot up thing misinformation or am I missing something here?

Personally, at a week old, mine do the same thing, and I put them right into their three gallon homes. But you can let the roots fill up the pot more, before you transplant into something bigger. :leaf:
