Seedlings: A few issues

These are my 6 day old bagseed plants. 2 of 3 have one 24w 6500k CFL each, and the third has two 13w 6500k CFL's. They are in some generic all purpose potting soil from Walmart (Gardeners Pride). No nutrients have been given yet, I am watering only when they dry out and only a few ounces each, and I have an oscillating fan blowing on them and around my little grow room all day. Temp, as you can see, is averaging a little above 80F.

So, I have done my research, and I'm thinking the issues I am seeing with my seedlings (The brown edges on the one, and the yellow coyt leaves on the other) are due to a nitro deficiency? Does this sound correct? Or do they just need more of all three? (NPK)

I hate that woodchip rubbish soil and this has fucked the seedlings, ph could be anything and there is next to nothing in food for the babies, the first one is fucked trash it the second one could be saved by transplanting it to a good mix of perlite ,professional blood and bone and quality nuetral soil.

Guy above does not know shit you can heal both of them i would recomend giving a very small amount of nute 1/8 and give a week when they have grown a little more get them out of that soil and put them in somthing better

i believe they can both be saved, but the stress that was put on them will always play a role in there lives, but i have to agree with buds 100% get some quality soil or look into doing hempy. if you do not know what hempy is look into it its a form of hydroponics thats dummy proof its easy as it comes.... its a mix of perlite and sometimes vermiculite with a hole close to the bottom of the bucket to allow water to pool and wick it up to the plant, there is alot of info on it look it up its crazy simple with all the benefits of hydro, you WILL need a quality nute for your plants with all the micros and macros because perlite and nothing in it.

Update:

I went ahead and transplanted all three seedlings to larger pots with better drainage, and switched to an organic seed starting soil with a NPK content of .06-.03-.03 (Is that enough? Too much?). I also added a few more CFL's, and ill be adding even more by next monday.

They look happier, and their second set of leaves are getting bigger every day.

Is it at all normal for the cotelydon leaves to get yellow at this stage?

yes the leafs above those are the true leaves, which are the ones that shouldnt yellow for a while. the two little ones normally fall off after 1-3 sets come up

The cotes died prematurely. Budz was right about soil and probably about trashing it. I would have added more perlite or vermiculite or pumice or some inert medium for water/nutrient retention while allowing the medium to give up its water to the plants or drainage much easier. Read up on pH correction for water used to water pot or mix nutrients in. Little step with big results in many cases.

And I am talking about their present medium/container. Also starting in the smallest containers while gradually increasing container size pays off, especially for impatient and/or inexperienced growers.
