Super Soil

Canna Terra Professional Soil Mix comes in two types - an all round pre-fertilised soil and a truly exceptional superior soil growing medium. Specifically designed for use with Canna Terra and Canna Bio Nutrients (although exceptional results can also be achieved using Bio-Bizz or Bio Sevia nutrients), both of these soil mixes ae sure to provide fantastic results for all who use them. Canna Terra Professional is the approximate equivalent of Bio-Bizz All-Mix, having a high nutrient content as well as good structure, aeration and drainage. it is the ideal soil for many growers as little (if any) nutrient is needed until you switch your plants onto a flowering/fruiting light cycle.

Canna Terra Professional Plus is something quite special that organic connoisseurs and expert growers are sure to love. Made from highest quality white peat and organic bark, Professional Plus has outstanding structure and drainage along with valuable trace elements and chelates to ensure consistently healthy growth. Having no nutrient content means that this media is for more advanced growers who can now tailor their vegetative growth for superior results.

.... forget the dome. I mean it helps, but thats not your problem. Your light is definitely too close. Once your plants are a little bigger your light can be as close as 4 inches, but thats too close for sprouts. You should probably be 5-6 inches for now if not farther. I have a feeling you could be over watering you plants. The reason they look so dry is because the heat from the lamp is drying out the top layer of the soil, I bet below it its mush (i could be wrong). When I did that I poured a little bit of 3% hydrogen peroxide (about half a teaspoon) into a 16oz bottled water. If you have any kind of root stimulator, put a drop or two of that in to. The peroxide will replace the de-oxygenated water with oxygenated water, and the root stim will help produce healthy root so your plants could bounce back. If things get really desperate, by some superthrive and follow the directions on the bottle. Some ppl think superthrive is bull shit, but I think stressed and dying plants is what that stuff actually works on. Of course, a lot of people dont believe in h202(hydrogen peroxide) either but, its your call. Im just telling you what worked for me.

that kind of soil tends to be dry and repel water... i always presoak it in a bucket with water til its slightly moist and NOT powderty anymore.. TEHN i put the seeds in the soil... somtimes if its dry and not worked with yer hands the water u DO put in trickles down the sides and does penetrae... so pre water the soil a bit

Hi, Germination -- Get 2 small plates cover the bottom plate in tissue then spray it with a P.H ajusted Water (6.3-6.5) untill its soaked then put on your seeds on then spray them too, Add another layer of tissue about the same amount you put in under the seeds.. spray that too, Then i usualy press the tissue down around the seeds!! not hard be gentle!! then add the top plate to make a light tight Germination chamber!! Then place the plate in a warm place!! i usualy put it on top of my Sky + box as that generates some heat!! Check them 2-3 times per day!! adding water when its starts to look a little dryish.. Using that method i usualy have tails in 24-48 hours!!

Planting out -- Make sure you have a decent soil!! You wouldnt live in shit conditions so dont make your plants!! Dont worry about all the fancy added nutriants and all the fancy ingrediants! 9/10 they cause more throuble!! make your own!! mushroom compost/perlite/wormcasting (50%/30%/20%) and a good pre-soaking using p.h ajusted water will do the job fine!! Now get a pen and push a little hole into the middle of the soil in your plant pot about half inch deep!! Add the germinated seed then add a tee spoon of ph ajusted water into the hole and over the little soon to be plant!! cover the hole over with soil. not to hard just enough to cover the hole!! Put the plant pots into a humidity dome!! heated would be best but if thats not an option put your lights directly above it and this will cuase the heat needed to cause a nice humidity inside the dome!!

Seedlings --- This has to be the most fragile and user unfriendly part of the entire grow!! Keep the soil moist NOT SOAKED NOT DRY just moist for the next week. i usualy Spray the soil at least 2-3times aday to keep it nice and moist!! keep this up for a week and your seedlings will be as happy as can be!!!

hope this helps

Yeah your soil could be shit. Honestly, the easies way I found to germinated it to plant directly into the soil and make sure the soil is DAMP not soggy. And it has to stay damp, DO NOT let the soil dry out.
If you dont wanna do that, put your seeds in a cup of water, and stick the cup in a warm dark place. Cover them if you have to (I use duct tape for a lid).
When the seed cracks open and you see the first sign of a root, i mean any white at all, take the seeds out of the water and stick it in your medium whatever that may be, I use soil. If you leave your seeds in the water after the root pops out, you'll risk root rot, then your seeds become soggy and worthless. (if youve ever squeezed a seed and it popped like a pimple, you left it in the water too long)

Plant your seed root side down, or dimple side up. When your seed sprout it's first set of true leaves (the second set of leaves), then you can start using fertilizer at quarter strength
(UNLESS YOUR USING SOIL WITH SLOW RELEASE OR ORGANIC FERTILIZERS)

Then just raise your fert strength as they get bigger. Get a thermometer (shit I use a meat thermometer) and put it up to the light, just barely not touching the bulb. That'll give you the temp right next to the bulb. Then take it out of the grow room and move the thermometer a few inches down from the bulb to see where you want your plants.

Other than that, just stick to the fundamentals man. Air circ, intake/exhaust, light distance, pH, good soil. Growing weed is easy, dont complicate things.
Happy Toking

I tried that plate method to germinate but so far, had more success with cotton. Still, the procedure is quite the same so, it's up to you. Never tried germinating them directly in soil but I'll do it next time. The only downside is that you won't have a clue if it is germinating or not but oh well, a few days after that you'll figure it out. Keep us updated! Be gentle with the seedlings, they are really fragile. Cheers!

Domes are not needed. Seedlings actually like a dry climate up top to help fight fungus and other nasty stuff. Just make sure the medium stays moist. Not too wet and not dry.
