Seedlings burnt in Greenhouse

Im new to this and put my two new seedlings, about 1inch tall straight into the Greenhouse (I did it last year and worked excellent). They seemed to get burnt and brown as its been very hot here central europe. So my question is a basic one: once the seeds germinate- what do you do? Should they go under artificial light for 2 weeks or can you put them on a sunny windowsill for two weeks. Then to Greenhouse?
Also I know its August so I suppose its too late to be starting seedlings anyway in a Greenhouse?
apols for dumb questions just cant find clearcut answers anywhere. captainspliffheart:eyesmoke:

Start indoors. They need very little until they start growing, developing leaves, etc. Throw under a 6500k cfl or two until they are going. Then maybe intro to the greenhouse forva few hrs the first day, a luttle longer the next, etc.

there are really 3 typical temps available 6500K, 2700K and 5000K....they come in all sizes from 13 watts to 250w

While in veg mode you want mostly 6500k with some 2700k and in flower mode you want mostly 2700k with some 6500k ...(typical ratio is 3:1)

Also having a few 5000k (veg & flower mode) is a good idea as it adds more spectrum

you should read up in the CFL section for ideas and tips.....personally I used 23 watt CFL, as they are cheap and efficient...the key to CFL is lots of side lights.....small bulbs work great for this
