Seedlings fizzle out, possible causes?

i have tried to germ and grow these Wedding Cake F6's seeds for like a long time now and i don't know what's going on, i've never ever seen this happen before.
I really wanted these Wedding Cake genes but they wont grow past a certain stage and i'm stumped. Been like this for 3 days
What could cause a singular line of breed to fail at seedling stage when ive grown literally hundreds of other plants successfully with same methodology?
What other methods at seedling stage are there we could try for extremely problematic seeds? I only tried 2 different methods so far on 10 of these (2-3 at a time) and i feel lost cause thoughts creeping in. So edgy about them i wont even touch them to remove those husks

I would move the lighting way closer. Those seedlings have stretched way to far already. When I have grown plants that are inclined to grow in a spindly fashion I have set the starter pots in an insulated box with a fluorescent light fixture resting on top of it. The light is only around eight inches away. It helps to keep the lankier plants from stretching more than they should.

I had similar goin on in middle of winter..it was my watering practises. i am in coco/perlite so a little different..i changed to a small plastic square tray and stayed in those for 6 odd days .fertigated it at beginning then not watering again till day 6...i think the colder weather played apart cause in spring /summer i was planting seed straight into a pot little bigger than the solo with no problems at all..i was stumped for a month lol.fucked heaps of great genetics.tried with some shit seeds and bingo .got them growing again...happy days..20211111_130950.jpg

I agree with Jimmi, fluoros are great for germing seeds and starting seedlings off right. When you get those spindly seedlings that can't support themselves, it's usually due to lack of strong enough light. I have a 4 bulb 2ft t5 fixture I use just for this purpose, but a 2 bulb fixture would work just as well if you put the seedlings in a row right under it. @Rurumo @JimmiP thnx guys, i have a CMH on em at about 100ppfd cuz in there with my clones. The spindly thing never bothered me, they have always hit the growth spurt, just a waiting game but these WC never hit that, just keels over dead. Ill try a higher ppfd and see...scared shitless to do it tho lol.

Ive tried jiffys but they stayed too wet for my liking .quite a few people i know use them to great affect...those cmhs have some poke..i have one in veg but only use it from week 3-4 and they didnt like it even at 35"inches away lol.leaf edges tacoeing a little.i run 4 24w t5ho at 8 inches and even then get some stretch..

it looks like they are not getting enough light. As stretched as they look in the pics. I would set the lights to at least the bottom number on the veg category and run the lights at 18 hrs minimum . clones already have leafs, so they don't need as much light, buts seedlings are just building leafs so they need a lot more light.

Lol people complicate the germination process so much. If I want to grow in soil, I literally plant the seed directly into damp soil in a cup, and let it go for 10-12 days without barely looking at it. If you want to grow in hydro or soilless medium, start in rapid rooters with a tiny bit of clonex. Done.

Thats my point, my rate on these single 10 seeds doing this dead simple process ive done many times before, has failed 8 out of 10 and im just so befuddled..look that soil aint over damp contrary to what champ eluded to, in fact i ran this attempt in even drier soil moisture than normal. They did great, soil still moist? ..check, ok leave em alone...then this..god said no status
