Seedlings food/0 PPM water what to add

I am unsure what i should be adding to my water for my seedlings. I use the Primo reverse osmosis water, it has a 0 PPM, just started reading about PPM so yea i dont know much yet on that topic. But I am just unsure what i should be adding to them to help with growth. I have quite a bit of shit laying around for these ladies but just unsure what i should start pumping into their diet. everything im seeing is that i should wait about 2 weeks then start giving them nutrients, im almost at that point.

4x8 tent
foxfarm ocean forest
dual cloudline s6 intake/exhaust
whole home dehumidifier
multiple fans
hygrometers EVERYWHERE

what nutrients i have now on hand are:
Cal-Mag 2-0-0
Fish Emulsion Fertilizer 5-1-1
Orchid bloom Booster 3-9-6
flower fuel 1-34-32

I have not put any nutrients into the seedlings yet just the 0 PPM water, when i start giving them nutrients its usually the fish emulsion and cal-mag but i am new to this and still learning so im probably giving way to much nitro, just unsure thats why i am asking. once flowering starts i keep Cal-Mag in the mix with the flower fuel and thats all im using at the moment. I didnt want to spend money on things and be the wrong shit or bottom of the barrel.

you don’t need food yet with ffof at two weeks from germination. Add 1-2 ml per gallon of cal mag into your water. Fox farms ocean forest is not the best substrate for germination, if you are planning on growing seeds and you want to use soil. Get a peat moss based starter mix that’s light and airy but also has good water retention. ( I pop my seeds in coco for the last ten years or so but I’ve popped thousands in soil before that. If you must use fox farms get happy frog and take out all the twigs and sticks then and add 30% more perlite to it and then sterilize it with boiling water, you will love the results of your seedlings if you are a soil grower. Once the seedlings out grow their first small container (3-4 inch pots don’t use any bigger unless your growing auto flowers) then you can put them in ffof but then again roots organic is better than fox farms ( fox farms used to be much better)

Holy shit man THANK YOU! I will do that on my next grow! ive always done 2 plants decided to do 4 and a friend ended up dropping of 2 more that were about a week ahead of mine so now im doing 6 haha but i dont plan to do 6 again. I just want to make sure that mine are getting the right nutrients and i will definately take your advise when i start up some more seed with soil instead of ffof.

If you decide to use happy frog you would need to start feeding a very low ppm nutrient solution about two weeks in as happy frog is less hot than ocean forest.

Happy frog has less starting amended nutrients in the soil itself so it’s more suitable for growing delicate seedlings. Peat moss based starter mix’s like the ones jiffy and epsoma make are really good for seedlings as well, they have zero food in them so you will have to feed with a very light amount of nutrients much sooner. Soil is an excellent choice to start growing in if your new, it is a very forgiving substrate ph wise. Soil yields less than other substrates but nothing taste better than top shelf organic soil grown cannabis IMO. Your best bet going into the future if your going to use soil is the happy frog adjusted soil I mentioned in the previous post.

You are already growing pretty much 100% organically with the items and substrate you have listed. If you are into organics and soil look into organic dry amendments they are much cheaper than bottled water based nutrients and their shelf life is 4-5 times longer. Mr b’s, gaia green are just a few companies that make excellent organic dry amendments for soil and organic setups. The most important thing the engine of organic setup is your soil microbiology, look into mycorrhiza, trichoderma, and other bascillus based beneficial bacteria’s. Elite 91, great white, recharge are just a few good beneficial bacteria products. Especially recharge I’ve been using it on my organic outdoor container gardens literally since it came out a long time ago.

That has been my goal from the start so i got what i could that was organic to try and keep the flavor. I just have alot more learning to do with PPM and all these different nutrients. I am going inside a tent indoors, i just had some outdoor flower for the first time but i was grown in the midwest where we get EXTREME climate changes so it was a little dirty tasting but did the job. Thank you so much for these recommendations I have already book marked like 7 different pages with what youve given me!

here’s two fully organic just add water super soil setups I did on my instagram, they yielded just under 4 pounds a piece in 30 gallon fabric pots on concrete. Most people have to use a 100 gallon container to get more than 3 pounds a plant

This was like a week before flower started a little after the first week of august and they got way bigger

you can absolutely positively start plants from seed or clone just fine in ocean forest, its all ive used as a soil mix base for years. They will easily go 2 or 3 weeks with no food as is. If you want to help them flourish add some worm castings to the mix and imo it could use about 10% more perlite or rice hulls or whatever you use for aeration/drainage

HOLY SHIT MAN! and shes only going to get bigger with flowering, that is awesome! I just started and instagram for my grows. Those are HUGE! im getting about 1 pound from 2 plants using the scrog method

if you really want to be fully organic, you should look into dry amendments and make a soil mix. Measuring ppms and using bottles are both things i abandoned years ago.

I’ve been looking at getting rid of the bottles, I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube for information as well as reading what’s on here. I keep seeing people just using plain water but all these different powders when making their soil at the beginning and then even during transplanting they’ll coat the roots then even more on top of the soil. No clue what all that shit is yet but I’ll get there lol

Man never just water. Imo. Start 1/4 strength of any nutrient. Dont listen to the hype. The expensive stuff has the same stuff in them as the less expensive. Never go over 1/2 strength and make sure u mix properly and you are golden. Ph for got. In soil hit between 6 and 7 and you are golden.

yeah thats what im talking about lol. look up organic soil mixes or "super soil". a list of dry ingredients that you can add to a base soil that will provide the plant with almost everything it needs from start to finish, with some added on top or a tea given throughout the grow as well
