Seedlings in coco - pH during first days?

Hey

I decided to try growing in coco.

Coco came as pH neutral solution, I watered it through and put my seedling in.
Now I read that pH in coco should be between 5.6-6.0.
I didn't add any fertilizers just watered with pH 7 water.

The seedling has broken the ground yesterday.
Should I worry about my pH or does it concern older plants?

what up
You should always be worried about your PH. A couple of PH mess ups is no big deal. 5.5 to 6.5 is going to be ideal. Also you should have a bottle of Cal-Mag on hand, when growing in coco.

You wont need to worry about pH until you introduce nutrients, the plant doesn't need a stable pH to absorb water, just nutrients. If you adjust the pH constantly you will just add unnecessary chemicals. If it gets out of hand like 9 or 10 just bring it back down a bit, but dont try and keep it balanced until nutrients are introduced, then you will want the pH to be a 5.5 and let it rise up to 6.0 and then drop it back down to 5.5 the plant absorbs nutrients across a range of pH.
