Hi, I have 8 big buddha cheese seedlings under an 85w cfl and on a couple of them the new leaves are starting to turn purple. They're in canna coco and i've been feeding them half strength formulex for seedlings and cuttings. 2013-03-16 18.08.23.jpg This is the one that's mostly affected. I think it's cold temps that's causing it but i've sorted that now, you guys reckon it will be ok?

Umm..I don't think you have the strain that you thought...

Thank looks like a perfectly healthy plant. No drooping, no curling up...

and as far as being ok, depends on your growing method. If your in soil, that will take longer to see the results of your change. But if your hydro, you should notice and change by 48 hours at most.

It could be temps, could be slight trace imbalance, could be a few things.. nothing dangerous/fatal to the plant.. it's just letting you know that the conditions are not what it wants in terms of what I'd named.

The seedling looks like it could use a little less water. Leaves should be a little flatter. I had some weird coloring on those 2nd sets coming in once which went away
when i stopped overwatering.

I don't think it's overwatering the pots feel like next to nothing when I water them. I'll let them go a bit longer between waterings and see what happens.

No they're in coco coir. To be honest I think it could maybe be too much light. The light is on 24 hours under an 85w cfl. I'm gonna get them on 18/6 now.

Man you need to STOP feeding your babies!!! Those little round leaves ((cotyledon (yolk) for food/energy)) will feed it for the first couple of weeks of it's life, your gona do the same thing I did and try to kill it w/love...lol..Man do some research and you won't be on here cuz your killing your beans, you'll be on here to show off your babies...

I'll give plain water when they dry out. Formulex is a very weak solution of nitrogen for seeds and cuttings and I only used it at half strength so I don't really see why they'd be getting overfed. I raised the light last night and they do look much better so I believe when they start receiving dark it'll go away. I see this happening to vegetable seedlings from too much light on other forums.

it will be the change in temp at night happened to me recently with the snow storm we just had but now that the weather is better they have taken off and the purple has gone...try having your dark period in the day so your night and day temps will be much closer you

I normally run lights during the night for that reson so if I need to use an oil filled radiator I don't need it on as high because of the heat in the house during the day2013-03-17 14.04.35.jpg this is a pic of them all

it happened to me too, maybe overwatering/relatively low temps/high humidity does this to a seedling
