SO it seems my two new seedlings sprouted about 3 inches overnight and now they seem to be getting too long and not thick enough. Now i know what everyones gonna ask. WELL HOW CLOSE IS IT TO THE LIGHT ASSHOLE? I have it 20inches away from the light just like i should. What else could casue this and should i just bury it deeper or leave it be?

Just transplant it and bury almost up to the first set of leaves.
I have a PE that has just done the same thing to me under 1000w.

It's most likely the type of light you're using, I'm guessing that your light at 20" up is an HID.
Use a smaller light on seedlings so you can keep it closer, I use T8's and can keep the bulbs within an inch of the young-in's

You can bury the stem right up to the bottom of the cotyledon leaves.

Right on! some good info, its what I would have said:cool:..except I use cfl and you can just leave it alone, nature will take its course(it'll stand up)..........if your using hid, what size and do you have a cooltube?

Well my big boy is a 400watt Apollo with a HPS for flowering. For my veg and seedlings im using 2 150watt cfl lights to cover 6 plants. Can i move these cfls below the reccomended 18-21 inch mark?

That is an incorrect height recommendation for the cfl's you can put them as close as possible without burning the leaves.42w=150w cfls?....maybe 5 in away?put your hand between the light and top see how hot it is for yourself:)

With seedlings and root setting clones, lower wattage bulbs work better. You can keep them tighter to the sprouts and they won't stretch as much. Once you have some roots set, and a real node, then it's game on. One of your 150w cfl will probably be enough for 6 small plants unless you've started them in large pots and they are taking up a significant sized area.

I have several 105w cfls that I used to use to supplement LED and I would keep them about 9 to 10" away so with a 150 18" might be right
