I have some seedlings that are about 3 days old. Well they were put in a wet paper towel for about 4 days, when root showed they were put in a seed tray with a clear plastic dome and all. But they have been actually growing for about 3 days, dome was removed after they had popped and grew a little cause they were staying to wet. They are ranging in size from 2in to about 4 1/2in. They seem like they are stretching ALOT. The temp is staying between 73 and 80 and they humidity stays between 43-50%. I am also keeping a heating pad on under them on low. The light is 2 20w floro's about 2in away from plants. Why are they stretching so much? Any help please!

well this early on they stretch because they are searching for light. you can get those fluoros closer than that without hurting them.

Well one of them is one of htose small12in blacklights and the other is a 24in. Each has a 20w in it...i think. I checked at home depot, lowes, walmart and a few other places and thats all i could find. 20w.
