i have my 5 day old seedlings 1.5 under 400w mh temp 75 hum 45 with fan blowin.there in little coil pots with soil.shud i put a dome over them?how often shud i water?wots ideal temps and humidity? plz help my 1st time

Your temp and humidity are perfectly fine as is. You don't need a dome. You want to let the plant dry out well between waterings. The younger the plant the longer it should go between waterings in general because the root system is less developed and absorbing less water. I use the weight of the pot to determine when to water. A just watered pot will be quite heavy and you can let it dry out until it feels empty before you water again.

thanks 4 the advice.is my lite a good distance away or shall i bring it closer?

Be carefull. That young the plants don't need to much light. You should try to take the temp were the light meets the plant. Around 3 ft. is were I strarted mine.

What? My light was always around 2 inches away, and its great because it has a short stem and its probably going to be a Dwarf (bushy) plant.

I would also recommend to mist your plants leafs a little every Day, and when it gets bigger start misting it more. I experimented, and when I misted one of my plants, it grew almost twice as fast as my non-misted plant. :hump:

What kind of light are you useing?? A 400w MH will burn a plant if to close. were not talking about a cfl here. I also said at first. They are still very young.:peace:

thanks yea its a 400w mh i make sure not 2 keep it close about 1.5 metres away
