okay i went for it and slightly cracked the seeds near the tip where the taproot comes out. I used a steril scalpel and gently popped the seed. Now after a few hours I can see a slight bit of white/green showing from the tip. Any suggestions/thoughts?

yeah.
Leave them alone now.
keep them slightly warm, moist and in the dark, and if you have a taproot showing in 12-36 hrs, drop them in the soil.
Maybe water the soil lightly with a with a drop of super thrive or similar product...

for future reference, you stand more chance of damaging the embryo by slicing the seam, try scuffing/scrapping etc first then use the slice method as a last resort.
just my .2

good luck and go steady..

Yeah popping seeds manually works, but again, you gotta be careful not to squish them too hard and damage the embryo.
They can fire outta your fingers/tweezers etc, and unless you like hunting around on your hands and knees they can be a bitch to find

there not hard to find just start watering the carpet lol:lol:

if you're using tap water, stop. dont use water poisoned by the government. If you dont want to understand the truth about fluoride, at least you know chlorine and aluminum sulfate is in the tap water. I was using distilled water, but arrowhead seems to have the PH I want. Not to mention the mountain spring minerals etc.

Next time soak in water for 24 hrs and then plant. Its that easy. Now the real fun begins.

Everyone hating on dr chronic. I have no complaints. Ordered my seeds last week and they all showed up 6 days later. East Coast USA here. The seeds arrived, and all look fresh. Also included in the package were the original pieces from flying dutchmen. best seed bank ive seen operating.
