Seeds...CFL or 400mh ?

I put a few seeds in rapid rooter plugs and dropped then in a tray, covered it with a dome and put it under my cfl, while that was going on, I set up my tent, vents n hoods. Now that I have my 400mh set up, would my seeds be better under that...or should I leave em under the CfL. Wasn't sure if the 400 was too much? The cfl is off and just hanging there temporally, should I set that back up? Or should I raise or lower the 400?

i like to use cfl's for the first week or two of life from seeds just cuz i've had issues when i first started growing and putting them right under the hps..
maybe it was newb error, but ever since i've switched a few years ago now, i never have any issues..

but saying that, so long as you have the light high enough and it doesn't get hot, you'd be fine to leave them under the hps/ mh for the time being..
just keep an eye on them and don't let them get too hot nor dry out too much..

Cfl. For sure. Every plant I have started under a cfl has turned out way better than under my 400. I prefer the cfl in general untill the plant is five to six inches tall. They stay way bushier and tighter, and never die from heat like the 400 sometimes does. In my garden I g out ot all the watt lights, and in vedge it goes, cfl to t5 fixture, to 600 watt, then to flower.
