I pre-soaked my seeds for around 32 hours then put them in a warm humid dark place to sprout. Its been almost a week now and no sign of life. Should I start to get concerned?

They are in a 3 part mix of Ocean Forest, Light Warrior, and planting mixture, all from foxfarm. Some refer to this as moonshine mix, after its creator.

I usually sprout mine in tissue. It has to be very wet. Make sure your medium is very wet and wait another week

If they don't sprout in another week what should be my next step? Should i take them out and try the paper towel method or is a waste of time to try to re-soak the seeds?

They never showed a root to begin with. I just put them in the soil after 32 hours and am not sure if they even were hydrated to begin with since I did not notice any swelling at that point

For sure... that is what I now know! I was just really excited when they came and had no paper towels around at the time. Would it have been alright to soak them in thick TP?

No big loss really. I soaked 5 seeds total. So far 2 did not sprout, a feminized white widow and one bagseed. I still have 4 other other fem ww. The only 3 that sprouted were the free seeds that came along with the ww. The bag they came in only said "SJ" or "5J"... any ideas what strain that might be? They are doing well so far and are only under a single LED pannel at this point! I have heard they grow slowly under these, but in this case it is not a bad thing since it will be a little while before i get my hps in.

to germ my seeds I take a plate, a bowl, and a washcloth. Put the washcloth on the plate , place your seeds, wet the washcloth and fold over, or keep it flat and use a paper towel on top of the seeds, then place the bowl on top, it should be flush with the plate. It will act as a humidity dome. Now place it somewhere warm and let it sit, check every day to see if you need to add water. Good luck though!

Toilet papers consistency turns to crap when it gets wet. (no pun intended) Paper towel method works very well for me.

This is def the method I will use in the future... Just did not have any PT around at the time.

Thats kinda what i was thinking. I should be good in the future though, I just hate using or buying paper towels since its such a waste of resources... But now its all for a higher cause:mrgreen:

I can only wish! Its really a 225 LED panel which runs about 40.00 with shipping on Ebay, something like a tenth of the cost of the UFO. Eventually i want to upgrade, but right now the higher level LEDs are just not cost effective.
hah probly even less than a tenth:mrgreen:
ive herd some shitty things aboutthem by themselfs but along with other lights i have seen wonders
