Seeds, does this really matter?

I found this and I am very curious to know if this chart is actually true. Does anyone have any experience in this matter?

Well that would be the coolest thing if you could determine sex from seeds. I wonder if thats how they get feminised seeds? Just look seperate and send the males with regular.

I think this chart is accully logical, the little depressions, sometimes look like little vagina's on the seeds. i would follow the chart.

I am going to test this chart and see if I can prove or disprove it, if I can.
I will post the results as I am about to start some new seeds for my next batch. I will upload pictures from seed to sexxing and see what happens.
I will have to repeat the process a few times to get accutate results, so don't expect this to happen over night, but as I have expeiremented with lighting I will now toll with the idea of sexxing from seeds.

Thats funny how it says the color and shape of the seeds have no bearing on the sex. And then the next sentance is: Male seeds are filled in sometimes protruding up and female seeds are more of a round shape.

I'm skeptical towards the idea because of that reason.

This is bullshit, I've seen that chart before too. There is alot of evidence that the environment early in a pot plant's life has as much to do with final sex determination as genetics.
There are alot of rumors floating around out there. If you believe this chart, than please send me your "male seeds".

From literature and our own findings it appears that the growth of a male or female plant from seed, except for the predisposition in the gender chromosomes, also depends on various environmental factors. The environmental factors that influence gender are:

* a higher nitrogen concentration will give more females.
* a higher potassium concentration will give more males.
* a higher humidity will give more females.
* a lower temperature will give more females.
* more blue light will give more females.
* Fewer hours of light will give more females.

It is important to start these changes at the three-pairs-of-leaves stage and continue for two or three weeks, before reverting to standard conditions.

Well thats what I have always believed as well, but I still believe some research and experiments are called for on this. I would hope we could gain some insight from conducting experiments from time to time as well. You just never know!

I think experiments are a very good thing, however in this instance I feel it may be a waste of time. What I do feel would be an interesting experiment is using dutch passions suggestions listed:

and see what happens.

Ok I know these pics suck and you can not truly see the depressions but this is a pic of the Football shaped seeds.


This is a pic of the perfectly rounded seeds that bounced very well lol!


Here they are in their germinating baggies.
As soon as they hatch I will post pics of the sprouts from each seed with a number before I place in soil.

I am using for this grow:
During veg
3 4' cool white floors
1 4' warm floro
2/3 scotts premium potting soil ph 6.4
1/3 construction sand
Crushed lava rock on bottom of pot

I do not use ferts during veg unless the plants tell me to fertilize them.
During flower:
400w Hps
fertiloom fert 20-15-5
Kool bloom fert 2-45-28
molasses

The day I put them in the flower room is the first time I use fertilizers on my plants. I give them a 1/2 strenth dose of 1/2 fertiloom and 1/2 kool bloom at a quarter strenth each.
