Hey Planetfonz,
I was reading an old post of yours in an attempt to figure something out. Can you please help? I'm new. I have clones in rockwool. They are showing a lot of roots. three of them are in the same rockwool block. A friend told me to cut them apart and drop them in my pots with the rockwool attached and put my soil mix around that (with pearlite at bottom and top). I started to do it and realized that there is no way I'm going to avoid cutting some of the roots off. I'm sure that's probably not a horrible thing as they look to have plenty of roots, but you know, I wanna do things right. I saw that you are in favor of taking the rock wool off and moving to straight soil mix. Is that still the case? And how do I do that? I heard I should hold it in water while I carefully strip the rockwool away. But some people say that will do too much harm to the root hairs. I'm sure I can do it either way, but what do you recommend for a noob who's lost?
