Seeds in outdoor bud (CAUSE)

I used quite a few teas I brewed and just read that alfalfa during flower can cause self pollination due to Giberic Acid it contains. Could this be causing it? I read this on a 10 year thread so if anyone has any information please tell me. I also know stress can cause hermies / seeds. I cannot think of why else this would happen.

Someone else, besides you, is growing it. Two scenarios,

#1. Mistake, someone doesn't know what a male looks like. Maybe some stray plants somewhere.

#2. They're growing males to jack your crop up.

Well I can rule out both of those because I sure would notice the difference long before the ( Said Male) plant was mature enough to pollinate. #2 Other grows around would also get seeds and they didn’t. I thought about it since and it might be extreme defoliated plants that perhaps caused. Not being rude just can’t see those being options. Although anything is possible. It just sucks because different strains for the past 2 outdoor seasons and seeds. Not tons. The potency was not affected at all.

Rodelization could be also. I believe that when you leave buds to over ripen and they self pollinate to produce seeds.

From what I understand any form of stress could induce it. In my case I had indoor container (sip) plants going and was pushing them a bit hard with top-feeding some extra goodies and I suspect that the pH swings may have been the cause. Same strain, same room, same lights and hvac as prior runs where that didn't happen. So anything that pushes things like pH fluctuations, over/under watering, etc.

If it's a stress response from the plant it would seem to reason that any ongoing sources of stress could cause this. Maybe not from just one incidence but something that was frequent or constant...
