Seeds just Germinated

I just finished germinating my seeds.... When I plant them in their pots, does the soil need to be wet?

How often do you water the seedlings?

Like some posters say- YES, the soil should be wet where you put the little seedlings. Don't worry about drenching the whole pot or anything. When they are this small they do not need very much water at all.

And go and check out the stickys on these in the forums. Watering problems are the number one killers for new plants.

Be sure to have a proper soil, too, or no matter how you water, the plants will suffer. Be sure to have the correct size pot, as you don't want to get a root bound plant.

These mystical plants are amazing and will teach a lot about yourSelf and life, so don't fear, have love and make it enjoyable.

Just try to learn as much as you can and continue to ask questions.

Peace, and good luck!

Maybe I am doing something wrong but I have had good success germinating a seed, putting it in soil, and "carefully" flooding or overwatering the first time. I then do not water for the next 4 to 6 days. I am new to growing, so take it with a grain of salt, but after a half dozen rounds it has not let me down. I am using FFOF which everyone will debate is too hot for a seedling. After my flush, I think its a great route to take.

*ahem..* general rule of thumb bro.. when it comes to watering and knowing when your plants need watering is this.

when the top 1/4th inch of the soil is completely dry.. its time to water again. I've gone by this rule for as long as I can remember and its always worked for me.

Never have had any over-watering problems. Besides people, you have to remember... cannabis is a weed.. it doesn't need much water.

peace.

Cool. Thanks for the advice guys... Another question - Should I put the pots under a light even before they sprout? Does it matter?
