Seeds left to germinate too long??

I placed some seeds in damp kitchen roll on a saucer with a bowel on top and put them in the cupboard were the boiler is. I lifted the bowel every 12 hours to give them air.

Due to me not having soil, i had to leave them in there for almost 5 days until i got some! The white taproots definitely popped on the 1st/2nd day. i could see them through the tissue.

Will this affect the seeds being left like that before they were planted?

no as long as u keep the towl moist and the tap does not dry out but u should plant when the tap is seen i like to wait till the tap gets 1/2 inch then i plant

no they are too long when u do what i did: forgot about them and checked about a two weeks after i started germinating and they were about 7inches long crawling out the paper towel,sadly they were dried out

Thanks for the quick reply. Yeah i made sure to keep the towel extra moist and all the taproots were around an half inch before they were planted.

I was thinking the taproot being exposed to moisture and heat with nowere to go for so long would fuck with it

Well i've got about 200 empty baggies lyeing about from all this weed im buying for f**k sake wasting a fortune on it! Roll on my next harvest so i can get high for FREE! im sick off lining other peoples pockets with money!

now the seeds will rot if left in moisture for a substatial amount of time they need fresh oxygen at some point hope this helps good luck with ur grow man

It was 3 and a half days max they were left hanging with a stiffy so hopefully they will be ok. Thanks pal will hopefully be starting a journal.

i will be on the look out for it
