Seeds running wild?

Literally germinated my auto kaya 47 seeds x2 autoflower and potted in a bio bizz all mix. It contains peat moss, spaghnum peat worm castins perlite and pre mix. It contains 2.5 litres of fertiliser too every 50l. It's ph is 6.6 and ec 2.4. My seedlings had been in here for 3 days and no sign of growth. I decided to dig around a little too see what's going on.

My seeds arnt there. I spent 4 hours going through two pots over and over. WTF? Where have they gone... Anyone else experienced this?
I know it sounds ridiculos but seriously...

Na it's not. I'm deadly serious. I germinated them until the tap root was showing an buried them in the middle at 1/4 to 1/2 an inch. Like I said, they have literally dissapeared and I don't know how the fuck

lol they cant just dissapear you sure you planted them?? or maybe you damaged them so much when planting they shrivled up and died!!!!!!!!!!

Haha that didn't happen. Two pots. Two seeds. My first time grow, I figured after 3 days it shoulda been outta the soil by now.when I did a bag seed germinated in a day and had 3 sets of leaves on the 4th day. Considering this is an autoflower strain, that's why decided too see what's happened. I don't wanna sit watching soil for two weeks heh. I guess I'll just keep watering and looking after it and hope for the best... Although is there a limit at which a seed can grow up before Giving up and dieing?

you said you have dug around and found nothing??? why water nothing? when transplanting after germinating did you touch the seed tap root with your hands? if you had a tap root the seedling should break the surface relativly quick couple of days or so unless you stressed or damaged when you planted them. best of luck

depending on the soil, I use ocean forest and it has bits of seaweed/kelp that looks like micro roots or a dead tap root, maybe both died somehow.

Because personally I think they are still in there.. But mainly because I don't want money just washed down the drain lol

1/2 inch is too deep. what i do is let the taproot grow to a decent lenght like 1/2 inch. place the root in soil, and have the seed above soil. then i just sprink a bit of dirt ontop of the seed to cover it from light. it always pops it cotlydons or w,e within 24hour if exposed to a light source ontop.

oh and its hard finding seeds when they are planted in dirt.

Outside isn't the best place to start them IMO . Birds tend to eat them or pull them out when they sprout even insects eat starters. Hopefully they didn't get eaten. I would wait a few more days to see what happens. I've seen starters take up to a week to sprout.

If you had them outside it could very easily be birds that picked them out of the pot. Once birds learn that they can get food from a place they will keep coming back. On my farm pheasents are notorius for going down the rows of planted corn and picking out the corn seed. They actually learn the spacing of the planter, no bullshit. As for transplanting you could have easily enough injured the sprouts, therefore they rotted. I know you would think you would see something left, but when they rot they turn dark just like the soil and are hard to see. When I sprout and transplant plants, I use a 10 x 20 flat full of dirt. I allow the plant to actually start to grow, plants are damn tough at this state. I am involved in 2 greenhouse operations, and we transplant 1000's of plants like this. We usually end up with 95 to 100 percent transplant ratio. Sorry for the bad news.

p.s. Another thing that can happen with paper towel germ. is the seed can get to much water and rot also. Give the flat tech. a try.

I know you are serious, but I had to laugh because it has happened to me. I am not the best at popping seeds, which is why I clone once I get a healthy plant. Anyway, I have put seeds in seedling soil mix and they don't grow and are never seen again. I always give my seeds 7 days to pop. I have sifted through the seedling soil mix to located the seed, and they are gone, disappeared. I think that due to overwatering or some other reasons the seeds die and rot away. At least this is my theory. I feel your pain...:leaf::leaf::finger:
