i started some seeds in a jar of water a few days back.

i recently checked on them to see if they where sprouting, when i found hair growing on two or three of them.

Was wondering if anyone else had seen such a thing?

Am womdering if there is bacteria or fungus or something in that water or on them seeds?

your thoughts would be most appreciative.

sorry, no pics. i already planted them. my camera was out of batteries and i was not in the mood for a drive to get batteries, so i decided against it before planting.

to descibe it. ... there was three .... what i can only describe as a web like husk...

3 among 10

i poured the jar out over a coffee filter in a strainer and the husk was easily pushed a side once on the filter.

this by the way was distilled water. also, the jar was rinsed with rubbing alcohol and then faucet water before actuall use with seeds.

Are you sure its water, and not hair restorer that you put them in??

LOL

Dude, Why are they still there? If they sink you take them out and plant them. If the float well, water didnt get it. Either toss it or scratch the surface a little and try again but you dont grow in a jar of water.

Thats not exactly Hydroponics
