seeds wont germinate.

seeds wont germinate.i did the cup of water method the tissue method and a mixture of them both what i did was put them in the hot water heater place.Problem is it wont germinate checked and the temp was 80f the seeds sink but not germinate a 2 germinated though out of 20.Last time i tried i had a higher success rate.and it was in winter what i did last time was put them in a cupboard and wrapped them in a blanket and 5 out of 7 germed.am i doing something wrong cos they sink but no taproot?Once they sink should i just put them in soil.
Does the strain make a difference in germination time cos this is a different strain from what i last germed

How long did you leave them in water? how long in paper towel?

different times some for 24 hours some for 72 in water and also some after i paper toweled them when they didnt work why would it kill it?if left for too long?]

yea man i damn near germinated every seed i had just by the paper towels method. first grab about 6 paper towel sheets put the first 3 on a paper plate(or any plate of that matter) drop the seeds, next pour or spray water wetting the paper towels then add the other 3 on top spray again. then just throw it in a bag and tie it up and store somewhere(i just put them in a dresser.) and mine most of the time cracked open and showed tap root in 2 days or so sometimes longer.

there was a thread of a guy that had the same thing happen
and he took a huge leap of faith and took a needle and poked a hole
in the shell and they spouted within 24 hours, not saying it will
work but you could try with one.
