Seedsman, Original Afghani #1, Regular

A google image search using afghani #1 brings up a few pictures of narrower leaved phenotypes.

That's what I don't get is it narrow or wide every other afghani has been wide leaf not pencil, plus mine literally look more sativa than my delahaze lol. But my question still is are landrace ment to be like the pure original pheno, the two I have if I snapped the fan leafs they still smell identical but very different leaf structure. I did monster cropped it as a whole plant that's why it looks like it does

I don't have first-hand growing experience with multiple plants of the afghani but based on what I saw and read with a quick google search it is possible to have different expressions in a landrace.

I have some african and indian sativas that are approaching 30 days from seed and the leaves are looking pretty wide compared to a haze I'm flowering. I did some reading and plenty of people write that there can be narrower indicas and fatter sativas. There are also plenty of people that say landraces show more variability for that exact reason... they are landraces not highly worked, stabilized strains.

Thanks buddy I think your the first person that to tell me that and I didn't know... No matter what tho if the second one become a female I'll post that too lol buds are buds I was tempted to it for the narcotic stone lol

I think true landraces will be stable. I also think that there are many different landrace strains from Africa and Afghanistan.

East Asian strains have those super-fine leaves - almost like hair. I have a Thai cross that is just now starting to flower. It is almost October!

huh......last night I was having my daily stoned-staring at plants session and noticed, DUDE one of my Afghanis has NINE blades/leaf and the other has 5!!!!
What is up with these freebies from Herbies!?!!??

You can see 7 blades in the pic I posted a month ago. Much more pronounced now.

The explanation I can think of either they chat shit or I got a random seed in there lol... From what I understand landrace should contain one pheno which is the original one or am I wrong.

Lol I got 2 or three phenos the other two are similar wide leaf but one is fat other is pencily towards the tip haha.
Did more reading about landraces and apparently they are all the same but different shapes and sizes as in different phenos picked but from same area. Just realised that's been said already loool I'm too high

Even given your new insights, Seedsman def didn't do much to stabilize this batch. I mean come on, did they just send an intern to Afghanistan and have them go willy-nilly bud picking in some poor, unknowing, farmer's field while they were totally stoned? "Here's a pretty....Oh, here's a stinky,....Oh, here's another pretty,....."

Thats them I know middle is sorta had excesses nutes but it was to correct a deff that the right one has. Anyhow all freebie afghani from herbies.

I think that's what the buggers did lmao.. Aslong as I enjoy the budds... Wich in still waiting for this is the first one I posted still week 7.6 but pic taken was yesterday and first set of flowers have just turned brown the first time just awaiting Bloom

It best be worth the frikkin wait coz I'm pritty sure this thread owner vegd and flowerd and smoked the thing and I'm still waiting in vain to do that

I got the same 9 leaflets!!!! I think this is weird. I also have one I nicknamed "lefty", at every internode her left arm is much longer/taller. Do we have a freak show taking shape here? Maybe we should start a new thread: Herbies Freebie Afghani Mutants

lol, I could have easily replicated your picture during my grow. The Afghanis I grew out did that exact same thing and the deficiency looked the same. I let mine go a little bit longer and they lightened up even more. Adding Epsom (mag) cleared it up, but then they went the other way and showed a few random crispy dead spots.

Sorry to hear bout the hermie, I am going to take it all the way because I have been waiting so long lol, and I am very lucky then because this went through four months of torture and slow, but other afghani middle leaf is showing true flowers at week 2 wich is good.

Free Seeds are free seeds, but Seedsman should do some work to tighten things up before releasing their Afghani #1!!!

Please refer to the product info for Afghani #1 regs from Sensi Seeds, as the specifications are near identical.

Harvested, 57 days of flower

I'm thinking that this strain needs 11/13 to match the flower time provided by the breeder. Under 12/12 she took 21 days to show first pistils and even with a harvest at 57 days I think she could have gone another week.

Yes longer. You don't count from flip. You count from flower onset. That means you only flowered 30 something days. They had a couple or three more weeks.

Count from onset and breeder I do is usually off. It normally takes longer.

And I don't mind I just want afghani for medical, I been very patient lmao others would have slashed the plant to pieces. I believe Rome was not built in one day and my mum and granny told me when ever you rush something you will loose gods blessing( This particular strain takes the Michel)
But who's is it and what's the actual time of flower and what the preferred hours for this ladys. Delahaze was flipped same as this afghani and I chopped that (early) and smoked it lol but still going with this

The seeds are from the breeder Seedsman but there is no description yet. Herbies says look at Sensi because it's close. I call "foul" on even comparing these to a Sensi product.

Okay I'm with you now lol. I would advice all three I have are PK hungry and N sensitive imo that's from my experience, have you guys had this? Is it the same for you? I have to add low doses of P.K during vegg to keep the leaf stem green and hoping this time it will show flowers earlier, my first one is still in flower at week 8 now and think it's gonna go to ten, second is four weeks and only just nearly has a full true flowers. And third is still in vegg... I had the deff of PK with the first two from early vegg and only as in three weeks ago realised it's a deff purple leaf stem and burn marks ( thaut I was over doing it).. So hoping to take the third afghani from (herbies freebie) lol as a lesson and see if I can keep the deff off it and compare flowering time and bud size. They do say it's allow yielder probably because the deff is mistaken for plant traits?? Now thats the question
