Seeking your wisdom please!

Oh great gurus of ganja, I am in need to some help. This is my first grow and I've combed there forums for an answer or several, But i think i need some direct advice on what to do so my girls wont die.

Currently im on Day 6 of my first from. I'm using 3 clones. A jillie bean, Chemdawg #4, and a blue dream. I've opted for a indoor grow and constructed my own grow room (4x3.5x4) out of old shelving. Other particulars are : x6 Cfl's 42 watt 2700k, My medium is soil. Kellogg brand patio plus all natural.( got this at home depot) and I've set my water's Ph to roughly to 6.5 (using a pool tester) with white vinegar instead of ph down. No nutes at this point and my girls are very very sad.

The day we got them we put them into very moist soil and placed them into a 14/10 rotation to ease the shock or at least i thought. On day 2 we did water them roughly 8 oz of water around the rockwool cube. once after the lights went off. same thing on day 3 but we noticed the plant was in distress and watered in once more during the light cycle. Origionally I thought the plant may have been drooping because of heat (of around 82) so i rigged up a exast for the box using a old fan I had. As of now I have 2 fans in the room plus the exaust. Not once in the past week has the temp been above 84.

i think you might be overwatering...also, make sure you got good airflow/ventilation

It sounds like your temps and ventilation are in line. How big did the root mass appear to be when you put them in the new containers? Transplant shock is generally only a issue when the root mass is small relative to the amount of foliage it is trying to support. If they recover from whatever stress they are currently under you may want to consider either increasing the number of CFL'S or, graduating up to 400w/600w MH/HPS. Also, I'm not sure reducing your photoperiod to 14/10 will necessarily reduce stress, daylengths shorter than 16 hrs. can trigger flowering well before the plant is established and this can certainly stress the plants further (possible DOA). I would increase daylength to at least 18/6 if not 24/0. Invest in a accurate, digital pH tester as the pool testers are notoriously inaccurate.

Unfortunately My current budget doesn't allow me too. I know there are some low budget meters out there I just haven't found one. As far as the roots were concerned they seemed pretty proportionate to the stalk mass. Only odd thing i noticed is the seemed to be off to one side or the other. When i got them they were very healthy. Additionally How many more clf's do you recommend? Would integrating a 150 hps Do much? Since my cfl's are all 2700k, would the absence of a 6500k source be hindering there growth at all?

yes if you can get a hps light it will make all the difference in your grows.they look mag deficient to me.add a tablespoon of epsom salt to a gallon of water and water with just that with no nutes in it.but let it dry out a bit first it could be a bit of overwatering too.also get them lights closer to her because shes stretching like crazy.ive had plants grow into my cfls and not hurt them a bit.your temps are fine.look over watered and mag deficient is my opinion.

Its easier to help people diagnose problems if you use a more familiar and common soil, that way we know what in it. I'd suggest a more balanced soil such as roots, or Ocean Forest. Kellog sounds like a cereal. Chances are your problem is nutrient deficiency

The patio plus Isn't as obscure as you may think. Its a california native company. I live in the central valley and it pretty common atleast where i live. Talking with some people at my hydroponics store say its a decent soil to use. No overly popular , but not the as bad as say Miracle grow. It just california compost is all.

The clones looked like that when you got them?

No *thinking* about it, the plants are drowning. Watering every day?

Stop the water for 4 or 5 days and let them dry out some. Might want to do some reading on the wet/DRY cycle.

No they were very healthy. Possible DOA is a conjunction of things. First and for most over-watering. Then sending them into shock from a 14 hour cycle, and last but not least I dont think the root system was strong enough when i put them in the dirt. all of these together have almost killed em. But i added a t5 6500k light, let them dry for 4 days and mixed in a root booster and a 6.5 ph. Give them all approx 3 oz of water and will water following the wet dry cycle. yesterday the did perk up just a little bit, so i have hope that they;ll pull thru. Thank you one and all for your time and great insight. as my ladies get older ill post some update pics!
