self contained grow cabinet

hey there a buddy of mine gave me a self contained grow cabinet its 4x2x5.5 it has 2 chambers top and bottom each chamber has 10 32w 48 inch t8 3500k bulbs its totally set up for hydro witch i have never done i was thinking about gutting the hydro gear and using dirt, does t8 s get good buds , has any one grown with these bulbs? im using my smart phone for one here right now all my pc,camera and anything valuable got stolen in a home invasion ,so i cant post pictures yet but soon i will get all new stuff ,it also has high temp purge fan low temp heater and locking side panels so you can get at the plants has 2 timers .i think it would be a good baby starter ,would it be good for a full grow just wondering if im wasting my time with this thing my buddy never used it so its brand new , any input is welcomed thanks

Trip! I am looking for just such a unit. Did he make this unit or purchase it? If so, I am curious as to where if you could ask him.
