So I grew out a royal medic by royal queen seeds and in the end i was able to collect about 20 seeds from her while harvesting the bud. I watch all my plants very carefully and only grow 2-3 at a time, and i did not find any bananas on her. My grow tent was brand new back then and I'm pretty positive that i didnt have any other pollen in there. but i did have a plant go hermie in that same room a couple weeks before. When I grew out 3 seeds from those 20 i collected though, they were almost duplicates of the plant they came off of. I had the same thing happen to my therapy plants. (cbd therapy, cbd crew) I just harvested two therapy plants that i grew out from the few seeds i got off of the cbd therapies and they were exactly, EXACTLY from beginning to harvest like their mothers. Sometimes too I get weed from my LP and I get 1 or 2 seeds here and there, not often but sometimes. I've got 3 seeds from VCDC and 1 from CBD digweed. Now I've grown out another royal medic from those seeds I collected and it's a male. no female parts in site what so ever but lots of balls everywhere.
So my questions are:
1- why does bud sometimes have seeds even though it was not pollinated? Because some of these seeds I found, it was clear that if some pollen had been in the tent, it would not have been pollinated where it was. It's mostly the pre flower sites that had nice fat seeds in them, while all the bud all around was left untouched. but each of those calyx's at a branch splitting, which is usually where you see the first pre flowers, were pregnant with seed.
2- i forgot my second question..i just woke up lol. plus i've half answered my own question but i'd love to know what more experienced growers think.
