Semi-Stealth 230w CFL Grow Grow Journal

This is my second grow but this time it's inside with CFL's. I am using Miracle grow moisture control as my soil until i can afford some better stuff. I know my box is not stealthy looking that's why i put SEMI lol. i am using 230w of CFL all 23w each which total to 10. couple are daylight spectrum rest are warm white i believe. As u can see the inside is coated with foil/ducting tape for maximum light exposure.

The only question i have is with the fatter baby and it's new growth looking a little bent i should say.....could this be from the heat stress??? this is why i have a gap between the two totes to decrease temps if thats the problem.....other then that they are about 1 week old growing like champs.

Suggestions will be good Thanks guys.

Cool looking box!

The only thing I would add is a hole in the bottom, with a fan for cool air intake.

hey thanks for the reply. I actually do have 2 holes on the bottom bin on both sides as well as top....the only thing i think i should do is upgrade my exhaust fan because it doesnt move the air as much as i want to. the fan u see came from an xbox 360.....i need to invest in a computer fan.

cfl's are at the top of the box but to compensate for distance from plant i have put a couple things in there to raise them close to the lights and i will lower as needed.

i don't think i will put them that close considering having those CFL so close together in such a confined space causes heat like the 42watters.....they seem to be growing nicely as they are....thanks for the advice.

quick update on the hopefully to be girls...still growing strong...just transplanted a day or 2 ago.

thats cool but my space is limited so i cant let them grow to much considering i still have the flowering period to go through.

i was wondering if i can prune/trim 2 of the big fan leaves so the bottom and inside growth can get more light......those fans leaves are getting bigger and covering up alot of the undergrowth

just another quick update which i would appreciate some replies back to....






can i prune some of those big fan leaves so the inside can get some more light because they are turning into monsters and covering everything.......also i'm probably getting ready to flower within the next day or 2.....so what do you guys think so far?

i am starting the flowering process as of 10:15pm tonight....but i guess u guys got no interest in my thread so fukk it....

You need to smoke a bowl and relax people will post when they post. Your plant looks nice and bushy i wouldn't change anything until she is about 12 inches. If you are sure u got a female then u can fim her, or u can top her if u don't know the strain because some strains dont like fim but do just fine topped. Strain can also limit your yield gains from topping and fimming so having 7 forced colas might mean having the same yeild as a single fat thick main cola that should be on a Amsterdam post card.

Your best bet is to take a few clones from the bottom so u can try lst because with your grow level height u could grow 4 plants in a multi level grow box doubling your yield from the same space. The bonus to that it is going to solve your bottom leaves blocking the light problem by thinning out the bottom of the plant. Cloning also lets you play with the strain and see what it can do under different conditions.

ive been relaxin for a few damn days and i dont got all the time in the world....neways yes she is already in flower since yesterday...i also got 4 more seedlings in there to so it's like 12/12 from sed for those 4....as for the cloning i don't have all the required things but in 8 weeks i will once i get rid of this stuff. i also got 2 more seedlings outdoor ill post about soon.
