Are there bills out there that remove an individual's ability to grow?
No, however the sheriffs association, attorney general, and MSP suggested that the caregiver model be removed. If amendments are going to be made they will be made today....

Call your Senators and Representatives and tell them its unethical to adopt the 5-tier system of alcohol distribution for MEDICAL marijuana. If they want to run the show, they can legalize recreational.

I believe that would be our MCC..
Big money parasites?
I'm not going to throw that out there yet. However, I'm an activist and those folks gave us a few dollars for our MMJ campaigns. However, we were all non-profit. Some new folks came around and gleaned what they could from us, and I use the term gleaned loosely, then they started for profits on the side and a new non- profit that excluded many people. That new non- profit was given a million dollars by MPP for our new law. Just to be clear, MPP is the Progressive Insurance People. I would say do some homework and find out exactly who is supporting you. We got screwed (kinda) by letting our liquor Control Commission run things. Full disclosure, I did not get screwed. I have came out on top of the situation because I was already dialed in. sadly though a lot of people are getting screwed.:(

Yes, I believe there was some Soros money floating about as well. However, I have no facts. I was was going to the meetings and hearings at first. They posted the audio on the OLCC's website and there were changes going on in the MMJ which is ran by our Health Authority. I needed a staff to keep up with it all. This is my only dedicated staff member. However he helps mostly in the garden. He he really not that into politics.

Concern About the Industry Influence In the Legalization Movement

http://blog.norml.org/2015/12/07/concern-about-the-industry-influence-in-the-legalization-movement/#sthash.J7iHxyv4.dpuf

The good old Marijuana Mafia, they've been a topic of conversation for years now and it's only gotten worse :-(
Yes Mr. Stroup is basically telling the truth. However the main point that was missed in the article, Was the people who become the executives in these non- profits (almost all) have set up for-profit businesses on the side and (as a volunteer) the thing I most resented was the outrageous salaries that were administered. I already touch on that in my last post, when I mentioned the gleaners.

Regulatory capture is a form of political corruption that occurs when a regulatory agency, created to act in the public interest, instead advances the commercial or political concerns of special interest groups that dominate the industry or sector it is charged with regulating. Regulatory capture is a form of government failure; it creates an opening for firms or political groups to behave in ways injurious to the public (e.g., producing negative externalities). The agencies are called "captured agencies".

Abrogate Prohibition Michigan Because Michigan Legislation Creates More Laws.
Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is the mark of insanity.

How can passing a 2nd piece of Indirect Statutory Legislation (recreational pot) fix the problems that the Government and those running to Lansing D.C. begging to make deals created with the 1st piece of passed Indirect Statutory Legislation (Michigan Medical Marihauna Act)?
How is doing the same thing going to help create a less Tyrannical and Authoritarian Government Ran Prohibition 2.0 Future?

Abrogate Prohibition Michigan Because Michigan Legislature Creates More Criminals.
