A couple of years ago I saw that we were at 15T by govs own stats, which was more than our debt. I don't doubt it's up to 20 by now.

I did. I'm not getting the same numbers as you. I have found $358B domestically in welfare and charity costs, and roughly $3.28T globally in charitable and welfare type spending.

Can you please show us where you got $20T. Thanks.

Last summer Paul Ryan claimed the U.S. had spent 15 trillion fighting poverty.

I read that, then looked at some .gov site stats, and Ryan was off by about 10T, according to what I have read.

I read neither. Show me exactly what the right has done to reduce health care costs in America, how about helping
those without jobs? oh yeah, they cut their benefits by billions.

Wake the fuck up? I wish I could, I wish this nightmare that is our country, where people are being left to their own devices every day was just a dream. But I am awake and I see what is going on. Every time a conservative is on top, he cares not one whit for others, and each time he runs into a problem he runs to government to help solve it. All the while insisting that he really doesn't want government in his life.

He wants to make abortion illegal - by federal fiat. He wants to limit the pay of lawyers, he wants to inhibit certain people from getting married - again by fiat. He wants the government to sanction his pollution, his taking of the commons, his incursion upon others in their bedrooms for god sake, but still he says "we want government out of our lives".

So again, what has the right done for anyone but the rich lately?

I had to look up the source because you were too embarrassed to cite it. I didn't know where it came from before I asked you. I addressed the topic when I said if you consider Paul Ryan's claim of 15 trillion and add the rest of the world in, your number seems too low.

As to your politics as usual claim, you have been here playing since 2008, I just started asking question 6 months ago.

Btw, to note that washingtonpost article where Ryan claims we've spent 20 trillion in global poverty, is referring to a 50 year period of time. What's worse? His numbers are exaggerated, by a lot.

I also find it interesting that you believe I am or can be swayed by certain isolated sites or ideologicaly rigid articles. That would have me suspect that you may be being swallowed by such sites and articles yourself. Transference I believe it is called. What you seem to be suggesting is that unless I read only what YOU read, or what YOU deem acceptable, then I must be being brainwashed.
