Sending back my cheapo led light

Hi everyone !

I bought a 1000 Watts cheapo led light ,and didn't even open the box . I will send it back .
Going through this site I came to the conclusion that it would be better for me to buy a 600 Watts hps mh with a cool tube ... I think in my 4x4 grow tent it will be OK .
Thank you guys for helping me make the right choice !

You could have a separate veg tent just using fluorescent lights. Plants grown under fluorescent are always exceptionally healthy with thicker stems in my experience partly because it takes a little longer and also I bend my stems weekly. Stem size = Bud size that's pretty easy to guess. So the secret is running a year round flouro veg tent and putting the plants in at just the right amount of time before hand to have plants ready to flower when your last batch finishes.

Hope that didn't give you a headache, just a thought not a suggestion this is all preference/need.

Make sure that you buy a decent exaust fan,i go with 6 " out let 4" inlet, just to know you will be ok heat wise.I do not care what anyone say's you will not beat hps for flowering and i use it for veg.If i did not veg along side my plants in flower under a t5,But i did used to veg under a hps and i will be this time just because i'm a tad behind .May be in the near future may be a led may come out that may do it but not yet

Even top quality clean hood glass has light loss and I believe it will block UV-B where applicable also. It's not the specific bat wing reflector making the difference it's the fact that the bulb is uncovered so there's nothing blocking the light. I hear you thinking but the bulb is encased in glass all these things are still true if I remove the hood! But even with a closed hood the bulb still collects dust because even a great filter still allows the accumulation of a fine dust inside the hood. If you use air cooled hoods then you have more glass in the way! So in addition to glass's inherent nature to block useful light in the first place also this build up of dust blocks even more light or scatters it unfavorably. I do use air cooled hoods when it's warmer because it's still cost effective to grow versus trying to run open hoods + a/c.

Get a cool tube and a 6 inch outlet fan/filter. No need for a inlet fan on a 4x4
Dude get a in let you need good air exchange,Take my advice,i see walls running with moisture if there is no air been changed, and mould on the bud and walls of the room,

Never used one in a 4x4 and never had any issues. It all depends on your external surroundings. Shit our humidity hits the 100% mark sometimes, and I've still never had an issues with rot just using a 6inch.

I have a 4inch on my 3x3 I use for veg and once they are 5 weeks old, then that starts to sweat a bit. I'll chuck an internal to see what happens in a few weeks.

Never once used a internal fan and wouldn't unless I went big.

I ordered a 6" duct fan and dimmer switch for the cool tube only ( fresh air through the tube and out ) and a 4" 165cfm vortex fan with a dimmer switch for extracting and filtering hot air . I should be ok .

You'll probably be good with passive intake as long as you have the proper amount of intake area, if your tent gets sucked into a little ball you need more lol.

That should work sweet. I used to do that, but the standard duct fans would crap out easily. Went through a few over a couple years. Then I just connected my 4inch centrifugal fan (this is in my 3x3 tent) and it works much better than when I had the standalone fan for the cool tube. So test it up and see what works best. A good centrifugal fan will kick a axial fans arse :)
