Sensi Star, Blue Berry, Purple Widow, Critically Smashed with Bush Master

This is my first grow journal, and my second overall grow.

I have the Supercloset Superflower, which you can see here.

The cloner for veg is aeroponic. The flowering chamber is running drip. 2x40w fluoros on the veg side... 400w HPS on flowering.

I will be growing Sensi Star, Blue Berry, Purple Wreck (Purple Urkel x Trainwreck), Critically Smashed starting from seed in rockwool. Seeds were germinated under dome for 2 weeks, and then moved to cloner. The breakdown is as follows:

Purple Wreck 3
Sensi Star 3
Blue Berry 2
Critically Smashed 1

If more than my legally allowed medical allowance are female, they will be destroyed. My hope is to have 7 plants and lollipoped to fill the space SOG-style even though I will be growing from seed rather than clone.

As for nutrinets, I will be using Advanced Sensi A+B and Big Bud.
For supplements, I will be using Bushmaster for a day or two at a very conservative dosage at the beginning of flowering to stop vertical growth.
I decided to try the Purple Maxx to see if I can enhance the purple colors in the Purple Widow even more.

I am sure you will have questions. Feel Free to post all you want here. Open thread for all, please. I am a relatively new medical grower... and can definitely use the help from all of you experts to grow my meds the best way I can.

Thanks and nice to meet you!

I obviously had too much to smoke last night. I am growing Purple Wreck, not Purple Widow... though Purple Widow sounds like something I might like, as well!

Everything is progressing nicely... aside from a few small issues.

I will post photos tomorrow to update everyone on our progress!

Billdo..... Very nice setup. Looks like you're off to a good start... Good genetics, plenty of light, and good quality nutes.... (yes - I really did say that). I'm not anti-chemical - I'm just prefer Organics.....
.
The truth is - at the end of the day - NPK is NPK.... fed properly.... chem or organic - Mary is a top notch med.....
.
Keep it Real.....

Yeah, I have been really happy with it so far. Actually using BMO products now... i am trying to do the all organic. :-P

Nutes used at the moment:
BMO Grow it Green
BMO Flower Power
BMO Super Plant Tonic

BMO Floiar Feed
Purple Maxx

For 3 days before the conversion to 12/12, I used BushMaster. It performed as-advertised. All vertical growth came to a screeching halt.

All of the plants you saw in the photo above actually turned out male. There are only two left. One Purple Wreck and one Sensi Star.

The PW took the Bushmaster treatment worst of all of the strains, so it is hurting pretty badly. The Sensi Star actually did GREAT with the Bushmaster. It just FROZE at about 1' tall. It is still only about 18" tall in week 5 of flowering. It looks gorgeous. I cloned it to keep the genetics alive, but it was after 2 weeks of flower. The clones have rooted, but I am waiting for them to totally revert to veg state and start growing more ladies!

I currently have a few other strains started as seedlings. I will be posting photos of all of this very soon!

Ive been trying to get those purple wreck seeds for months everyone is sold out. lame

OhSo,
Been LOVING your BMO threads over the past few months... they got me on that bandwagon. I have had good luck with them in my tap-water so far (chlorine, not chloramine... so it evaporates in like 15-20 min).

I am really loving their foliar feed, too.

Question for you though,
Do you find that you get some pretty quick PH movements with Flower Power? Do you use BMO exclusively now, or are you using it to supplement a larger feeding regimen?

Yeah, those Purple Wreck seeds weren't around long. I have a couple more seedlings going right now, so them maybe I can get a proper grow with a female. I would really like to see the best of those genetics!

I wish I could have gotten my hands on those Auto AK47's that Doc Chronic had a while back. They would be great for my cab, I have a feeling.

Oh well, you win some... you lose some, I guess.

Sorry, man. I am a medical patient, and I have never seen the strain before. If it is good, clones will be available from the dispensaries soon.

I got mine from the doc.. maybe they will be back again sometime.

As promised!

You will see a kick ass 18" tall Sensi Star which is filling out nicely here in week 5 of flowering. You will also see a sad Purple Wreck which was supposed to be a science experiment as to how much i could trim off a plant to make a lollipop. I have been experimenting with different trimming techniques to see what works best for my cab. Because she was one of only two to be females... I decided to let her finish anyway, and reach her full ummmm.... potential. I think i just had a Charlie Brown flashback.

The technique I used on the sensi star (just trimmed off the bottom leaves right after the bushmaster and the flip to 12/12) should allow me to reach my legally-allowed limit of 6 in my little 34x24 flowering footprint... and keep them nice and short. :)

In the second to last photo you will see the veg side of my cabinet. You may have noticed a change. I converted that side to a dwc setup from the aero. I had just had enough of the clogging issues. I am two for two on cloning (the currently flowering SS) and all of my seedlings are coming along nicely. It's simple and effective. I will be replacing it's res with a taller unit (already purchased) and cutting a new lid that will accommodate a 4" mother net cup on one side and 8 seedling net cups on the other half.

Sorry it has taken so long to get this thread rolling, but life just got in the way there for a while :)

II,
BILLDO

I love the West Coast purple strains. they are fantastic (and most are based on the same genetics... just different "clone only" phenos)

I just had some purple erkle the other day... and it was fantastic. I would love to see what Bushmaster could do for an erkle plant to keep it nice and short. Unfortunately, my old dispensary that had clones closed... and my new one doesn't carry clones.

Bummer.

So... new things going on.

1) I bought an in-line sediment/carbon filter for my sink from costco. tap water, good riddance! I will be installing that this evening.
2) the "big" sensi and the little tortured purple wreck will begin their final flush tomorrow.
3) What started as a little yellow on the PW is now seemingly affecting the sensi star, as well. The leaves seem to be pointing up. My best guess is that they are lacking magnesium... but I have no experience with this sort of thing. My previous grow was "locked in" by using Advanced Nutrients Sensi and Big Bud. This is my first attempt with organics. Anyone have any suggestions as to what this might be?

FYI... in the res is the following:
BMO Flower Power
BMO Super Plant Tonic
Currently running at 950ppm

Thanks in advance!
BILLDO

NOTE:
I also included a photo next to my bottle of ph down for scale. That is a big fat pinecone!

PURPLE WRECK..............
I received mine last week.
LINK: BC Seeds
You sure that's PW??? I pretty sure PW is trainwreck X Purple urkel. This seems like some kind of other hybid, just read this...bongsmilie

Developed to grow well outdoors in Canda's Northern climates. Very purple buds, with a unique taste and smell. Purple is a very heardy plant and easy to grow for begginers. Can be cultivated in colder or wetter climates and is resistant to mold. Purple was developed from early Dutch Skunk and Thai Haze varieties. The buzz is uplifting and plants get more purple in cooler climates

This is what I have:
http://www.drchronic.com/products.asp?partno=RSVP Purple Wreck

3 of the 4 PW's that I planted had great purple color right away in veg. Unfortunately all of those ended up male and by far the weakest pheno was the only female.

Should still taste OK in my vape, though!

Does anyone have any idea about the yellowing problem?

Looks like you have a slight nitrogen deficiency going on there. No need to worry though; it looks like you are far enough into flower for it not to affect the plant significantly. Naturally when you would be flushing at the end, you would see the same thing. The plant is just moving its remaining stores of nutrients into the buds as a last ditch effort to survive and reproduce.:peace:bongsmilie
