Visit some islands with giant lizards that can swallow goats whole, and your imagination starts to run wild. Godzilla was thought up after watching those iguana's that can dive under water. Pretty cool!

Now.. As far as dragons go, yes I believe there were giant lizards, back when there was more co2 in the environment. Now all the co2 is pumped down into the inner hollow earth, where the lizard folk live.

Even if one doesn't succumb to the rabbit hole, one cannot be immune to its effects. It twists and warps everyone, myself included. I no longer know how to judge the Q adherents or the random guy next to me in a bar who is a devotee of Jordan Peterson. Some of them, I assume, are good people, but ... wtf?

All I know is that it's easier to maintain optimism if I don't think about the depths of their lunacy too much. As you said, you gotta go to work, and I can usually work with those guys as long as we stay away from politics. But, people today are generally less able to make those separations and often prefer to carry their garbage with them wherever they go, work be damned. That's when it gets really hard to be civil.

Found some lamb at a decent price. Moussaka, our own eggplant, and served on a classic Dixie paper plate!.. you know, because I'm classy like that.
