my medical plants are 24 days old.

400 watt HPS
Have just nuted at 1/4 strength with FF grow big. Temps 73-80 humid 40-50%. Lights are on 18/6.

Plants are in FF Ocean forest soil. They were doing awesome until I nuted them, and now 1 plant my biggest and best has curling leafs and a dark purpleish color and the leaves are brittle and breaking. its slowly moving to the top.

Soil PH - 6.5
Ph Run off - 6.9
Run off PPM - 477

Please help. I flushed the plant immediately so hopefully I will see an improvement.

check the batteries in the ph pen, recalabrate it?

oh...i see you have 2 pH for the medium. one you call run off and other is soil pH. how ya get 2 diff readings. is one from a soil stick thing for ph. if so go by the run off not that stick. and what is ph of the food mixed and water on watering days. and are you sure your letting it dry enough between feeds or waters

I tested soil with a soil ph tester. im using tap water around 7 ph. the ph of the food is 7 i think. I may have over-watered. DO you think its a deficiency or an overwatering problem. its only this one plant as of right now.

this isnt humidity.

get the ph to the right number to start with. you dont use 7. try at 6.3

what do you mean by a soil tester?...like a probe type. no verry accurate. and what do you sue then for the ph of the foods and water, also use same ph for both food and water at 6.3.
and make sure to let it dry all the way before watering or feeding again.

Does your tap water smell chlorinated? and if so do you let it sit for a day to evaporate the chlorine? easy way to kill active fertilizers and cause nute lock out.

tap water is fine unless hes organic, ive used it for years. chlorine is actualy food to them. its chloramine you want out and sitting wont get it out.

What caused this young grower to call out for help was a simple nute burn which he fixed (flushed) but look at the plant and see that the nute burn was not the first nor only problem this plant has. Bring up your humidity. The plant is sweating all her moisture out and the leafs are suffering (dry and ridgid).

Bad advise ~~> QUOTE= Medi 1
this isnt humidity ~> Humidity is way too low.

get the ph to the right number to start with. you dont use 7. try at 6.3 ~> At 6.3 you are setting the ph for roots like when you clone. 6.5 is neutral and great for veg.

what do you mean by a soil tester?...like a probe type. no verry accurate. ~ Very acurate for testing soil ph.
and what do you sue then for the ph of the foods and water, also use same ph for both food and water at 6.3. ~> Never below 6.5 unless you are cloneing or raising babies from seed.
and make sure to let it dry all the way before watering or feeding again. ~> Never allow a plant to go "dry all the way" .

what nute burn. nutes dont burn. its a deff that does the burn. they cant uptake anymore than they need. that dosent even look like what others call nute burn either.
he even says hes at 7 ph. no offence but after sayin that a blind man could see why this is looking as it does. ive had my room down to 30% and dosent do this or up to 70%. yes it causes issues but not this one
and how do anyone know its been fixed..he wouoldnt be asking if it was. he even says he hopes so....

ok bud those ph testers kinda suk, if its all ya can afford i get it but relay try and get even a cheep digi pen. the liquid stuff cant read when we add foods to the water then a coloured solution cause when we add 2 colours togetehr we get a 3rd. so that will show wrong. they are ok in water only. be more concerned about the food and water going in for the ph. and the digi pen will read both what goes in and the run off. ive seen some on ebay or others for about 30 bucks, may not be the best but its better than those or the probes.

Well what size area are you in ? I have a veg tent 4x4x7. I have the air sucked out every 30 mins for 15 mins useing a simple fan. So humidity can buld up in tent. Also (before humdidifer) I would grab plants from house and set them inside tent because the bigger the veg, the more they transpire (sweat). ALso I would foilar feed or just water under the leafs 20 mins before lights on or the very bottoms with lights on.

I read through a few posts of Medi 1 and I do not believe you are the Medi 1 that is a true grower. I believe you are his ignorant little brother. The Medi 1 that is a true grower has posted the correct info on many other post and threads started. The Medi 1 typing in this thread is ignorant to proper gramer and spelling and types out garbage that does not match up with other Medi 1 postings. You are a Fraud. :fire:

Look into some of your own threads that Medi 1 started and notice that the grower is educated. You obvisouly are not. ANd I am not picking on you for your lack of education, shit you could still be in grammer school. Peace out little fellar, and try and stay out of grown up business will ya. Namaste~

anyways dood you can go whatever route ya want on the fix here. seems im just an 11-teen year old now....lol

You sure chlorine is food for your plants? The owner of the local hydro store agreed with me that leaving the water out is very important for me, and I am certainly not growing organic. I believe the problem it causes is concerning neutriant lockout due to the chlorine killing some of the active ingredients in the ferts.
