I've been working from home a lot now so I decided to dust off the old server case and give it another whirl. Last time I had 2 plants but I felt, this time one bigger "SOG" plant would yield more so here we go! (Link to old grow: https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-fluorescent-lighting/439866-pll-server-grow-tahoe-og.html )

Specs:

(3) 36watt PLL Tubes
Ocean Farm Soil
.75 Gal
AN Sensi A+B Nutes
Greenhouse Great White Shark Feminized

Last time I hit about 35-40g, I am trying to double. This time I will eliminate PH issues and I will SOG so lets see how much of a difference this makes. In the pictures you will see the GWS its about 11 days old and doing great, I have a lot of work to do with light-proofing

Thanks I'm really excited and am counting down the days for flowering

I got the bulbs from 1000bulbs.com, they have a great selection and price. Never had any issue with the bulbs being broken while shipped either

So sun has been so strong here in california lately that I have been placing the plant in the sun from 10-4 and finishing up on the PLL tubes. As you will see in the photos I am attaching the growth has been huge, the plant has nearly doubled if not tripled in size in just 5 days. Check it out and tell me what you think

One of the photos I showed is how I place the plant in the sun, I tilt it so the plant is as horizontal as I can get it. I feel like this insures that all leaves get even coverage photo 1.jpgphoto 2.jpg

The internode growth is incredible! its so dense perfect for my little server

Sog or Scrog? Sea of green consists of a many plants with single colas while Scrog is a lesser amount and more colas (usually one per sq foot). I think you want to do a Scrog over Sog. But either way I will be watching this :P

@BSD0621 At first I wanted to do SCROG but I am still unsure about updating to a slightly taller cab. So to keep my move-ability up I am going to defer to LST I am starting that today about 2 weeks from flowering.

Here is a quick update on the girl, she keep growing and growing

Well had some free time today so I went ahead and upgraded a few things:

1. Transplanted into a larger flowering pot about 2.75gal, which is longer, a rectangular shape so I can continue to LST and get full use of the server.
2. Just purchase another (2) 36watt PL-L tubes, which will increase my current lumens of 8,900 @108watts to 14,500 @180watts

I noticed I had a lot of room in the server so I thought I might as well fill it up. The server is about 1.5 feet x 2 feet so I have about 3 total square feet to work with which will work perfect with these Pl-l tubes which i feel only have about 6-8" of penetration.

Light Upgrade Breakdown

108 Watts to 180 Watts
8,900 Lumens to 14,500 Lumens
Watts per sq foot was 36 watts, now: 60 watts
Total upgrade was about a 60% increase in power, now I am hoping to hit at least 100g

So here is a photo update right before I add the final lights, which I will do in the flower period. As you can see I just used a box, I couldn't find any pot or container that was the size and depth that I wanted. So I took this thick cardboard box and lined it with packing tape (the clear kind) drilled some holes in and boom it in there! This rectangular shape will help me with my LST so I may have to veg for about another 2 weeks. anyways....here is the photo update

Ok so on Jan 10th I put the girl into flower, on Jan 7th when I took the last photo I went ahead and started feeding her a very low dosage of bloom ferts. Since she has only been getting PH'd water with no nutes I thought best to start off with a low ppm of 175.

Today when I took these photos I did another watering but this time I up'd the ppm to 375. I also installed the to remaining bulbs to increase wattage during flower. Other than that everything is going good!

how is that cardboard container working out for you man ? I mean the plant looks great but does it not get soaked and fall apart ?

@naturalworksorganics thank you!!

@dabolili I lined the inside and edges with clear masking tape, so it doesn't fall apart. The only thing is when you water the plant the planter looses a lot of stability. I'm definitely going to upgrade to a different container

I decided not to continue with the cardboard box and upgraded to a similar height and width plastic container. I drilled screws to make the LST easy to tie down. I also up'd the PPM on todays watering to 600 and she seems to be loving it! I am seeing about .25" growth everyday so I think thats a good sign

Its been about a week since my last update so here it goes....

Did a feeding before I took the photo, took the PPM up to 775 since she doesn't show any signs of nute burn
