My mom has a succulent that isn't doing so hot, so I stupidly put it under my grow light for like 2.5 seconds before realizing it might be a bad idea. Then I noticed the little webs all throughout its lower levels
I instantly removed the succulent from my grow room & wiped down the spot where it was sitting with antibacterial soap & water, and now have my closet open where the fan can blow hard on the plant. Granted, I have no clue whether the succulent actually has spider mites or something else entirely, and I only set it there for literally a few seconds. It didn't come in direct contact w/ my plant at all. The webs could be cobwebs or spider webs for all I know. We live in a high humidity area that's not all that conducive to spider mites.
How worried should I be that this short exposure might've infected my grow space/plant? Realistically, how long does it take for these bugs to transfer to another plant in a different container? My plant is in Week 8 & only has 3-4 weeks left before harvest... it would SUCK if it got sick now since I have no pesticide or other means of killing pests on hand.
If this happened to you, how worried would you be & what would you do to prevent an infestation (if that's even something I should be thinking about?)
Edit: Just vacuumed my closet growspace thoroughly. Door is open & fan is blowing on the plant.
