I think that's what most people here are turned off by. Its kind of like you are coming in here with very limited experience and trying to reinvent the wheel. Concentrating on the micro details prob a bit too much as a beginner. You might have some good ideas that could lead to something but why not try and grasp the idea of how the proven methods work? There is still much to be learned from that I'd say.

makes sense. i'm just like, i bought the 3-year warranty plan for my lights, invested a lot into it, and i gave myself a year of experimentation to come up with a viable plan. this is what i came up with to dummy-proof a 3-5 pound grow (~12-20 lbs/yr) until I can do it like bk78 does it. If someone like him wants to tell me exactly what to do to get there fast, I'll do it. A lot of it is genetics, I could just be wasting a lot of time scrambling to find something that works, knowing i'll likely progress toward something conventional. that's it in a nutshell.

Genetics is #1 when wanting to hit the most weight possible. The environment is second. Go look at few grow logs by renfro and the dude in OK that avatar is Burt Reynolds. Forget his screen name lol. You can learn a lot by what those guys do for weight.

Now, we're getting somewhere. No, it's like I've applied band-aids or crutches to hold up something I can't support the best way possible. Although I can achieve 3+ pounds/harvest, I'm here for tips on how to get there efficiently, which may be dramatically different from what I'm doing. I had the forethought to have enough lights and space to setup something good, I'm here to make the best use of my time, equipment, and genetics. Don't think I don't know growing more plants is a waste of money -- Grodan blocks, nutes, supplies, time.

When I report what I'm doing, I'm not advocating that it's "the way" -- it's like, I'm standing on my head to tie my shoes; but since I'm not tripping, it works. I still want to stand erect. haha.

You're so worried about finding your own way. There's already proven ways that you haven't even come close to mastering. I think you just wanna prove people wrong by being unconventional. Sure you can but will people give a shit? If you cant even stake down a plant with normal shit why would someone take your advice on something much more detailed?

Oh. My. God. I think you just summed up my whole life.... Mets fan ... contrarian by nature. It's going to work out ... usually, my suggestions are followed by a pause, sigh, and acceptance. I'm known as being helpful.... It will work out. Thanks for today's discussion. In the end, whatever I do, it will be a little of me infused in something conventional. Something old, something new.

lol 15 totally useless pages. I'm still curious to see pics of the entire setup. I'm still learning to grow in a dedicated space from previously growing in tents and it's not easy. Normally I would just move my tents into the garage in the summertime, and back into the house during winter. Now I have to actively control the environment which will be better in the end but it's a lot to figure out. I take people's advice and then figure out how to make it work for my setup/situation. The struggle is only changing one thing at a time and then waiting to see if that change is better or worse.

like I said, i don't veg long enough for really big plants ... these are more bonzai-style ... lots of branches takes up too much room.

i train and shape plants, but whatever i end up with i try to use it/fit it in somehow. some explode, some are blah.... not perfect, i'll get better. just trying to be organized, consistent, and start selecting phenos.

(1 veg station is actually in the larger tent, I just separate it with a tarp and try to seal it closed)

all pics uploaded tonight were from the bloom tents
- small one has plants 5 weeks along, and a few finishing 2 weeks (they replaced some that tanked early)
- larger tent is all plants ending week 2

- i stagger them by a few weeks, so i don't have to harvest all at once ... but i didn't plan to have one tent with plants 3 weeks apart in it... oh well.
